It is and with our dollar right now it's just too pricey! Thankfully you pay the wedding in peso!

Keep us posted on who you choose!

With our dollar the way it is I have been converting EVERYTHING from peso or USD to the current Canadian dollar.  So I don't get lulled in to thinking "gee that's not bad" and then getting sticker shock later when I have to pay.

@yycbride2016 that's such a great list! Thanks for reminding me that I should start my list too so I know what else I have to do. Now I don't know how far into the weeds you want to get with your list but don't forget about personal grooming appts like wax, haircut and colour, nail appts, and such. Oh and gown alterations if you need any

@Wafflesmom! Right!! How could I forget all those! Vital to a wedding haha. Luckily my fi's mom does body sugaring and will do my legs prior to the wedding but the rest I will have to make sure I jot down to make appointments for closer to the date. As for alterations I pick up my dress sometime next month I think with the first set of alterations done. I will try it on again in December and if all is still good I'm good to go, If not I'll book an appointment t. Added to the list! Thanks!

Finally finished my ring box! I saw a similar one on pinterest and then I noticed them all over Etsy and thought that it would be cheap to make my own instead of spending $40 on it. I made 2 actually. The other one was much larger and I didn't like the color the stain turned out on it as much as this one.

    Process:

    • Buy box from Michaels: $5
    • Stain box: Espresso color
    • Burlap inside with space to place rings in between
    • Write on wooden heart : Bought at michaels
    • Glue twine and heart inside
    Ringbox1
    RIngbox2

@yycbride2016 I bow down to your amazing talent!!! Wow, you are one talented woman! You're ring box is beautiful, very professionally done. I've seen ring boxes like that on Pinterest and thought about buying them, it never dawned on me to make one!

@Wafflesmom Aw thanks! Its so funny because everyone in my family laughs about me doing "crafts" because I'm not crafty at all. But for some reason this wedding business has created a crafting monster! My FI always comes into my office and says "what are you doing? Crafting?" haha. I'm hoping I'll be able to sell a bunch of my crafts after the wedding to make some of the money back too! Hopefully people would want it.
