Thanks! I’m really pleased with how the message in a bottles turned out. I want to place them on a little tray of sand at the resort! And I know right. She’s a real piece of work. I had no idea.  I would think it was a joke if it wasn’t for the fact that she made a point to bring up the cost to come to our wedding. My Fiance and I are still frustrated that someone could be that rude.

That’s so good to hear about Juan Carlo! I’m excited to actually just pick one and put a deposit down so I can put the stress of photography behind us and not worry about price increases again :S

@@Wafflesmom

Yeah I’m hoping we can pick our photographer this week or next so that I don’t have to stress about prices going up again haha. And thanks! I’m no Martha Stuart but I’m getting there haha.

And yeah I can’t believe she would get that mad about missing an E on her name. The worst is when they mailed us a wedding invitation to their wedding they deliberately spelt both of our names wrong. Like how rude is that. I know my friend is quirky but not rude. So I feel like it was her doing. I’ve wanted to retaliate so much but my FI is keeping me level headed about it telling me she’s not worth it.

Thanks! I’m pleased how it all turned out. I actually think after reading everyone’s comments I might just hand write the rest of the seating cards. I think it might make it more personal. Plus it will just go in the garbage at the end of the night anyways haha.

Haha yeah she is really special and I had no idea she was at all like that. So rude! It’s not like I called her his ex-girlfriend or something right?! She needs to get over herself. I laughed so hard at what your husband said! I don’t think they’ll be coming to Mexico (thank goodness) so I won’t have to worry about that. It’ll just be hard to not glare at her or say something to her the next time I see her.

@@ashhtayy

Thanks! It was so random that I had just finished off the PB so I was like CRAFT TIME! Hahahaha. My FI thinks I’m crazy. I went asking his family for empty glass PB jars afterwards :P They all have plastic jars L I know, it’s like you can decorate a whole wedding at the Dollarama! How great! I’ve found so many cute things. I think I even made most of my OOT bags from there (I’ll post those eventually haha). I also agree with the handwriting. I think I’m going to hand write them all after reading everyone’s comments. I thought it looked bad but reality it’s not horrible considering people will only take one look at them haha.

And yeah unfortunately we are still going to their wedding. I want to see my friend get married, even if it is to that woman. Both my FI and I contemplated not going after seeing that tweet but we don’t want to stoop to her level. It’s probably not worth it.

@@calgarybride2015 you and I will be bday biatches together ;) Could it be because we're Leo's? Lol

@@yycbride2016 you and a lot of brides on here are a bunch of Martha Stewarts to me! If I only had one ounce of creativity that you ladies have. Oh and I didn't know they deliberately misspelled your name too. Wow, I feel bad for your friend to be marrying someone like that. Honestly, many people have misspelled my name, just go to any Starbucks and it's always a treat to see how they spell my name. It's not the end of the world!

@ you can definitely join the bday biatch train lol The more the merrier! And same here, Der keeps me grounded. He's the little angel on my shoulder who whispers that I should be nicer lol.

And "Harriet"? That's so not even close. This wasn't at Starbucks but someone once called me Bridgette.

@@yycbride2016 all your DIY projects look amazing!!! Love the little message in a bottle! :)

As for your friend's fiance, that is so incredibly rude and then to post it on social media is unbelievable. It was obviously a small mistake that wasn't done intentionally but she has to make a huge deal about it and then adds in the jab about the price as well. I hope she doesn't attend your wedding - you don't need that negative energy around your special day.

@ @@Wafflesmom I love the Starbucks name fails too - it always surprises me and makes me laugh when they spell my very common name "Stephanie" wrong. lol! I know there are many ways to spell my name but I find it funny when they think my way of spelling it is strange. Yesterday I was there ordering a couple of drinks and the barista asked me for my name and said "I want to spell your name right, is it with an i or a y?" .... I say "i" and then she proudly turns the cup around and shows me and it says "Steffani". I smile and giggle and say "don't worry that's close enough" and she's like "no no, did I spell it wrong? I'll fix it on the next cup", I tell her that's not necessary but she insists. So I say "well it's an "ie" at the end and it's with a "ph".....she looks confused, then she looks at the original cup, then back at me more confused. So I spell my name out for her, she writes it and then says "ooohhhhkay noted". As if my way of spelling it is weird. The whole conversation just made me laugh.

One of my MOHs name is Genevieve and we've kept track of all of her Starbucks name fails. They have included "Jenna Eve", "Jen-B" (yes, spelled like that haha!) and our favourite... the oh so common name "Jenani" ;)

Thanks! I'm happy with how the projects have turned out. Not sure there is really much more to do actually! Feel pretty on the ball for being 7 months out! yay!

And I kow right?! The price thing really bugged me. Like her wedding is out of town too (1 hour away) and we have to pay for a hotel. So just grow up already! missing one letter is no big deal. I think she is just mad that we are doing a destination wedding probably. So rude and immature. haha

I love that starbucks video too! So funny!

@@yycbride2016 oh that makes me even more mad to know that her wedding is out of town too!! I'm all for have your wedding wherever and however you want, it is your day! I hate though how destination weddings take all the heat when I've had to go to so many weddings just far enough outside of the city that you still need a hotel. I don't mind getting a hotel for a wedding I want to attend, but don't give me attitude about how my wedding costs so much for you, ya know?! I have a wedding at the end of Aug and I broke down the cost by night and Mexico is still way cheaper and that includes food, alcohol and a FLIGHT! It just bugs me when people say those things! grrrr!

@ love that video too - so funny! I was at a Starbucks once and an old man told the barista his name was Rumpelstiltskin. The old man seemed to get a real kick of it! haha!

Exactly. I mean yeah we could drive home after their wedding (1hr drive) but we want to be able to enjoy ourselves. And really, these two aren't the "beach" type. So they could have just politely declined and all would be good. Part of me wishes I hadn't gone looking for the tweet. I get so frustrated everytime I think about it. Like Everyone is entitled to make a mistake and its my day so she can just not come. I actually hope they don't come to my at home reception now.

@snswedding2016 @yycbride2016 @perianjay I COMPLETELY understand you ladies on the name thing. I actually Facebook stalked a few of my FI family members because he didn't know how to spell their names.

My name is spelled and pronounced wrong all the time. My name is Latrice (okay, technically it's La-Trice) but I've gotten everything from Latricia, Patrice and so on. If I type my actual name into most computer systems, I become "La" because it cuts everything off. My name wasn't pronounced right at any of my 3 graduations lol and I wrote it out phonetically. I've gotten used to people spelling it wrong so I wouldn't be upset if someone got it wrong on an invite (hey, at least they invited you!).

I got my wedding bands today!! I got two but I'm pretty sure my fiancé isn't going to let me wear the second one until our one year anniversary unfortunately haha. They just look so pretty altogether! I didn't get the matching bands to my engagement ring because they actually stood up too tall and hid the detail on the profile of my ring. When I saw how dainty these rings were I was sold (and the fact that they were half the price helped). post-283167-143812460978_thumb.jpgpost-283167-143812462184_thumb.jpgpost-283167-143812463078_thumb.jpg

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
