Toronto (Gta) Brides Meet Up?!

I'm totally down for Cibo, and the Yorkville location is close to the Bay subway station.

My other thought was Loose Moose. It pretends to be a sports bar (its really not), has good beer on tap and prices are reasonable, plus it's a quick walk to Union station. I'm easy, so where ever the group wants to go works for me!

I'm good with either! Any one in favour of either?

We should probably get a reservation in soon.

Okay so I went ahead and made a reservation at the Yorkville Cibo location for 5.45pm for 8 people on Jan 29th.  It can totally be changed, cancelled etc, just wanted to hold somewhere for us.

I likely won't get there until 6.15/6.30 but I know some of you are downtown and can get there sooner.  It's a 5 min walk from St George station on the Bloor line.

@@deecol Way to take charge! :D

My office is a 5 min walk from Yorkville so I can definitely get there to hold the reservation by 5:45 (assuming everyone is still on board for Cibo). Looking forward to catching up with all our newlyweds and brides-to-be!

Hahaha @@krystalball! I just wanted to make sure we had somewhere booked lol like I said it can be changed/cancelled. But if everyone is happy with Cibo, I'm happy :) That's great that you can get there to hold the reso. Thanks so much! I'm so looking forward to seeing you all!

@deecol  Where is the King W location? Is it way out?? Not sure about others but @@diadiamond and I are both on the GO (same line) so Yorkville makes it a bit hard from Union. Italian sounds awesome! Just wondered if there is something easier to get to???

I'm not super familiar with the transit, the Yorkville location is 133 Yorkville ace. The King location is at 522 king street west, it's not near a subway station from what I can see, would have to take a street car, which is totally fine. @@acw271011 is that location better?

Or does anyone have any other suggestions that would work better location-wise for everyone?

@@deecol Geez you'd think with so many of us downtown it would be a lot easier to come up with locations!!! lol  I can't believe it's this hard! I'm trying to think of all the events I've either been to or coordinated downtown and am drawing a blank for a group our size!! I've done stuff for 60 plus which is easy to get private space for but for a smaller group our size it's a lot harder.

So the Yorkville Cibo location is super close to the Bay subway station (like a 2 min walk) so as long as you are fine to take the subway it would be an extra 15-20 min or so from union.

My other thought was Loose Moose which is close to Union. I'll try to think of a few more options in case the consensus is not Yorkville for those taking the GO train.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
