Ladies I am soooooo sorry, I can't make the 14th afterall.

The fiancé and I are in a much needed city break and decided to go camping for a few days to disconnect from the world. Unfortunately with all the bartending shifts we've picked up this was the only weekend where we didn't already have something planned.

I hope you have a blast, can't wait to see pics and do let me know if you plan another evening! xoxoxoxo

Oh - that sucks, but good you're getting a break!!

Thoughts ladies? Change the date or go with what's planned and try and do another night as well?

@@acw271011 @perianjay Oh don't worry!  I didn't expect you to change the date at all!  Sorry I had to cancel, we need to get away for a few days.

Have a blast, and I can hopefully make the next evening if there is one :)

@perianjay  I kind of agree with you even though it sucks that we can't accommodate everyone. So I'm good with the 14th if everyone else is.

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi Ladies! The opening of the bar has been pushed and it should be opening within a week or so but again nothing is for sure. Unfortunately this is how a lot of big renovations go. I've already mentioned to the owner that we want to use it on the 14th but I'm just not sure it will be all up and running.

I think to be on the safe side we should have a back up location just in case. Ideas?

@snswedding2016  I agree. Hopefully the patio location will be open but anything can go wrong.

Ladies - I'm open to suggestions. I'm afraid I'm not very good with things downtown. I just found out we're having our Xmas doo at Copa Cabana on Adelaide. Don't know anything about it though. I can find out.....

@deecol  We'll miss you!! But absolutely I say we can try a second date later on and see if the ladies that couldn't attend the first can make it for a second!

@veryvalentine  pleeeeeeeeeeeeease say you'll bring wedding pictures!!! I so can't wait to see them.

Can we do a roll call to see who is still available for August 14th and how big of a group? That might determine where we can go and where we can't.

@ aw thanks - I think Sean and I just enjoy going out too much! haha!

Ok here are some other ideas:

Oliver and Bonacini (Yonge and Front) - big patio, central location, more corporate crowd, Muskoka brewery is their sponsor this summer so their beer is on special (for the beer drinkers)

post-281055-0-11046500-1438290356_thumb.jpg

El Catrin (Distillery District) - big patio, beautiful and fun decor, Mexican restaurant (goes with DW theme for most of us! ;) ) but the location isn't the best for those coming from the West End.

post-281055-0-33189500-1438290370_thumb.jpg

Black Bull (Queen and Soho/Peter) - big patio, always busy, not the fanciest place, affordable, more of an artsy "queen west" crowd

post-281055-0-71497600-1438290389_thumb.jpg

Beverly Hotel Rooftop (Queen and Beverly - just east of Spadina) - rooftop patio, cozy feel, smaller so depending on numbers it may be harder to get a larger group, a little pricier but a neat spot

post-281055-0-90890600-1438290401_thumb.jpg

Brownstone Bistro (Yonge and Gloucester - just north of Wellesley) - medium sized patio, central location, reasonable prices

those are the places that come to mind off the top of my head. I'll keep thinking.....do any of these peak anyone's interest?

So far I have the following on the list for the 14th:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
