I am totally wearing my dress again! I absolutely love it and I can't imagine NOT wearing it to the wedding reception. There might be 2 months in between my wedding and reception, but I don't care! The majority of the people won't be in Jamaica and we are treating our AHR as a regular reception. Photog, music, restaurant, the whole deal, so it would be kinda silly to not wear the dress.

Obviously I don't think it's tacky, since I am doing it, and you have to do what you are comfortable with, but keep in mind that your FI is a man and sometimes they just don't know!

I wore my dress at our AHR and so did the bridal party. I told them they didn't have to but they wanted my family to know who was a part of our wedding. We had our slideshow on repeat during the reception and the guests loved it. We had 170 family and friends, it was from 3-8pm on a Sunday at a golf club. All the aunts were so happy I wore my dress again, they were all teary eyed.

I am not wearing the same dress. I am doing the two different ones for a couple reasons 1. I heard that many peoples dress gets dirtythrough out the night and I wont have time to get it dry cleaned since our AHR is right when we return. 2. Its going to be less formal so I got a tea length wedding dress and much less hot. 3. Gave me an excuse to get another dress :o)

Hey, I think if you are comfortable in your dress and don't mind wearing it again, then why not, its your party, you can do anything you want!!!!!!

Hey at least you can say, you were able to wear your wedding dress twice, most brides spend all that money to wear it for a couple hours, like I am doing sad.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
