I used to be a floral designer, and the gift I have given all the nieces and nephews are their wedding flowers.  Well niece number one, has decided to have a destination wedding in Cancun, and I am not sure of an economical place to buy her flowers....  Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

I hear that Maya Floral is pretty good, but i'm personally bringing all real touch flowers down with me. Maya floral was unable to accomodate my request (at a decent price point) due to the specific flower I was looking for needing to be imported.

I second @perianjay with maya floral. Not sure about whole sale prices. ...Did you get your real touch flowers from etsy yet? Im dieing to know how they look in person. I went to Joanne's yesterday just to browse the silk ones they had there and i really didnt like them. :( im so picky . I just dont like fake flowers but if i can get them to look so close to real and have tons of money in my pocket it will make me really happy. I esp. want to make my own keepsake bouqet since i will not be able to bring back flowers from mexico. So the closer to real i can get the happier Ill be :)

@racht33 I haven't gotten them yet, only because the seller thinks it's best to wait closer to the date. I've paid my 50% deposit, but I have to agree. I don't want to have to worry about storing them for 7 months and also chancing disclouration because my condo has lots of windows and sun exposure.

I know that he does send individual stems!! If you want to see the quality you could always just order one :)

@racht33 Yea! Nathan is the shop owner and he is really nice and accomodating. He is a true pleasure to deal with. You can always private message him on Etsy and let him know what exact flower you'd like to see a sample from.. he can set up custom orders :)

@chinamama - I ran across a thread on this (although it was focused a bit further south - Tulum & PDC). Not a lot of suggestions, but perhaps it will help.

You might try doing a search in the forums for "flowers" or "wholesale flowers" to see what you can find.
