Hi @@Victoriabride . As well we made a lovely email invitation for most of our guests including our wedding website. But we are mailing out few invitations for my parents and my dad's side as they are much older and not tech savvy plus they only speak French. But everyone else seems to love our email invites.

I emailed my STDs (just posted and in my gallery if you want to see) basically the day after we got the group rate.

I'm mailing invitations because we have a couple people of the older generation on both sides who don't use email.  But we got a vistaprint deal on groupon and spent very little so far.  We're having everyone RSVP on our website as well, partly to cut costs and partly because we would have rsvps coming in from Canada, UK, Australia, USA & Ireland - so we didn't want anything to get lost in the mail.

We have decided not to do invitations, and are sending a nice email with all the travel and resort information. I find this way to be more efficient and less costly (we are on a tight budget and cutting costs wherever we can). A part of me is thinking that we should be doing a proper invite. Most of our guests already know the dates and have confirmed they are coming. Has anyone out there done an email for an invitation and how did it go over?! Silly thing to be worried over, I know... but I have been very indecisive on this and am running out of time!!

We are not doing invitations either. We sent out STD's and all of guests confirmed and put their deposit down, so we think its silly to know send out an invitation which invites our guests even though they have already paid their deposit. So instead, when we receive our flight details (Wedding isn't until May 2016) we will be sending out a "newsletter" with the flight info / other important info. We will also be including our personalized luggage tags for everyone. Most will be hand delivered so we don't have to worry about postage.

Wow, nice thought ! I have a similar plan in mind too. I am planning to go for some online DIY wedding invitations that stands out from the rest. My wedding party hall in Vaughan is said to be decorated with blue and pink roses and red curtains. I am planning to get those colours highlighted since it’s more of a theme wedding that’s in my mind. Invitation needs to be a prior info to convey the theme. I am working on with some ideas.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
