@snswedding2016 sounds like a similar situation to me! I am having the photographer for 6 hours as well (but he told me if he needs to say a seventh hour it probably won't be an extra charge) I'm also going to have the first dance at the beginning as well. I'd feel terrible if they didn't get to eat! I think i'm going to talk to my WC, but I like the idea of them having their own little table of four :)

Eek never even crossed my mind. My WC knew I was using the resort photographer and never charged me an extra meal. Omg I hope she ate and that they included her as she was an on site vendor.

@perianjay thanks for asking this question! We're only having our photographer for 5 hours and will only be there for the first hour of the reception. So like you, we'll be doing our first dance at the beginning (this will also coincide with sunset ☺️). I can only imagine the hunger my photography and his assistant will work up while taking tons of photos so we want them to eat! I do like the idea of a separate table off to the side so they can put down their cameras. Thanks for all the ideas ladies!

@Wafflesmom @calgarybride2015 Yea! At first I didn't really think much about it, but it just randomly crossed my mind yesterday. My videographer was only hired for 4-5 hours, but i'd still want to feed him and his assistant too! I don't know.. I guess I just feel compassionate for them. I get they are there to work, but i'm sure they get hungry/thirsty and I'm keeping them over dinner hour. I'd feel bad not making sure they are fed.I'm going to ask my WC and make sure they are taken care of too.

I think the reason it didn't cross my mind is because she wasn't an outside vendor so I didn't have to pay all the fees.  I think I just trusted that if she needed a dinner pass (ie the resort didn't charge that because I used their vendor)  I would have been charged for one.   Phew did that make sense?

I don't think it's because we don't have compassion, just because of the circumstance of each type of vendor, how much we have on our mind, wasn't mentioned in our handouts, etc.  Lots to think of that is forsure!

I certainly hope that the photographer, the WC and all the staff were able to eat!!!!  They were with us for over 8 hours!  ALL of them not just the photographer!

@calgarybride2015 oh definitely! I don't doubt that at all. If I had an onsite coordinator I would probably assume that they would be given their meals/dinner. I guess with me it was more about a question for offsite vendors. I think I have to pay a day pass for all four of them.
