Tropic One Studio - Photographer Recommendations?

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies! I am getting married at the Paradisus Palma Real in Feb, 2016. We plan on using Tropic One as the photographer and videographer to avoid the $1000 fee. Can anyone recommend a specific photographer that you had at your wedding and loved (or engagement photos)? I would love to request a recommended photographer ahead of time as I am a bit nervous using the resort vendor. I LOVE katya nova photographs but unfortunately she is out of our budget with the fee.

@@maria1488 What is the $1000 fee? Is it a fee to bring your own photographer or what the resort photographer costs?

Sometimes it's better to bring your own destination photographer to get a better service at better rates.
We experience something similar at our wedding. Our resort wanted $3000 so instead we took our own Canadian destination photographer for half the price.

@@MrandMrsBonitto2016 thank you!

@@emmapalmer that is the fee the resort charges to use an outside vendor. so if I used an outside vendor i would have to pay $1000 plus whatever the photographer costs. I actually dont mind tropic one photography. I LOVE katya nova, but she is too expensive, so tropic one is not a bad second choice by any means.

it sounds like Lala and Rodrigo are the two professional wedding photographers for the Paradisus Resorts - for any ladies who have the same question as me. I got albums for both and I actually think I prefer Rodrigo slightly as his pictures a little more colorful.

If anyone has any feedback on tropic one at a Paradisus wedding, please let me know!

Hi Maria, just had my wedding at the grand Bahia Príncipe Jamaica , we used tropicone, orenella and nic (nicol) come highly recommended. Trust me you will not be disappointed. I took the platinum package with customization (first look, sunset photos and after party). Nic is very through, very kind and patient with people like me who aren't exactly modelling experts. The images you will receive will

Amaze you. I paid 1550$

USDS for essentially all day photography from 11am-1030p with a few small breaks. Feel free to inbox me should you have questions but I assure you they are nothing but professional and kind! No sloppy work here

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
