David's Bridal Bridesmaid Dresses Question

Recommended Posts

Hey guys! So, I got a really late start. My wedding is in July, and we just picked out bridesmaid dresses from David's Bridal. I didn't want to use them, but they were the easiest choice as far as letting my bridesmaids pick a style that works for their body type that's all in the same color and affordable.

My question is - how accurate are their shipping times? The shipping date they gave me was June 30th for one, and July 6th for another....but they are saying those dates are worst case scenario and they should be here sooner. None of the dresses have to be altered so far, so I can't imagine why a store with as many locations as David's Bridal would take so long to ship a dress.

Does anyone here have experience with David's Bridal? Should I be worried that the dresses won't get here in time?

Hi there - We had bridesmaids dresses from David's Bridal for my sister's wedding in 2013. I just looked back to see if I could find the timing. Her wedding was July 4 and it looks like I ordered the first week of April - I don't remember exactly when I got it but I remember having PLENTY of time for alterations. I want to say we got them mid-May.

My sister also got her wedding dress from there. They told her 8 weeks and she got it in like 3. It was crazy!

Hope that helps a little!

Hey!

I got my wedding dress and 3 bridesmaids dresses from David's Bridal. All came in WAY under the stated time. For my dress they told me about 3 months and it was maybe 6 weeks. For their dresses it was 12 weeks (new color and nothing in stock) and maybe 2 months at best. My experience was good so I think you will be ok. Good luck.

@@LaurenC3432 we ordered our BM dresses for my best friends wedding and they came in a month before they were supposed to. This was in 2015.

Although our experience buying them was a complete disaster (terrible store staff - ON brides don't go to the Scarborough David's Bridal) the pick up was smooth, all dresses were in perfect condition and, like I said, they were earlier than we expected.

I got my wedding dress from Davids in 2011, and the girl that was supposed to be my MOH got her dress at the same time. They told me 3 to 4 months for both. We ordered March 19th (I still have the bill!) and if I remember correctly both dresses were in by the end of May. I had no problems with them at all.

Good luck!

We did the bridesmaids dresses from David's Bridal when we tried to do our first wedding. They tried them on in February and they gave us an estimated time arrival of June. They actually ended up getting it in March. It was the same thing when we did my wedding dress. They gave us a further out estimated date but to only receive them a month after we tried them on.

I am also getting married in July and went to DB with my bridesmaids on March 21st.  The dresses came in last week!  It was so much quicker than I had expected.  I think it depends on the style and color.  Good luck!

FYI: If you look up your dress style, color, and size on their website as if you were going to purchase it online, it has a ship date.  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
