Sunwing Price Drop Guarantee

Recommended Posts

Sunwing Price drop guarantee vent.

Our travel agent just let us know today that we can apply a one-time price drop.  When we signed the contract we were told the price drop could be applied 45 prior to travelling.  Suddenly it is 60 days.  I'm so annoyed.  The weather in Toronto has been so crappy so the prices haven't really dropped.  The  most it's going to drop is $100.  We travel in June which is the cheapest time of year to travel and our guests are going to be paying more than $200 more than what it usually costs.  I thought we had 45 days and I knew the price would drop more 45 days before.  So annoyed.

Anyone else experience this?

@ same here! we're also with Transat and our TA said that most likely the prices will just go up. She said it is mainly to do with the resort we've chosen that they always sell out regardless of the time of year.

We didn't qualify for a group rate since we didn't have enough people but for October, Azul Fives has just dropped $150 per person. I'm still betting it will go down a bit more. The agent I have said to hold off until about May or June before we book. I've been watching prices and just this week they've all dropped. But I don't know how it works if you have a group rate set up. Your quote may already be cheaper than what's being advertised now. We're going with Transat as well since they're exclusive for AF but we also have air miles travel certificates to use which are through Transat and Marlin Travel.

Oh wow!   It's almost like the group rate is a better idea for busy seasons because last minute the price will probably only go up and your group rate is probably lower.  Ours is the opposite.  Oh well...I can't control everything.  I have to just let this one go.  People aren't going because they were expecting to have a price drop off $300 - they are just going because they want to come to our wedding.  Our average prices, because we gave all our guests room options, is $1200-$1300.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
