Ok, I have fell in love with this dress the moment I tried it on.  The only thing I thought was it might be too full at the bottom for a destination wedding especially for a plus sized girl like me....  what are your thoughts?

Also, belt or no belt?

I think it is beautiful and very flattering. Definitely yes on the belt - I feel like it draws your eye up a little bit and provides a nice balance to the full bottom. And of course gives you a great shape! Love the sweetheart neckline as well.

When I started planning a destination wedding I was a little surprised that so many brides wear what would not be considered a typical "beach" dress - but I totally 100% think you should wear whatever you want! There are lots of brides on here with full dresses! Personally, I worry about getting hot but my wedding is also in June and I sweat like it is my job ;)

@@GingerBride that dress looks gorgeous on you! I don't think it's too full on the bottom and think it's a nice silhouette on you. I love the belt as it adds an embellishment and gives you an hour glass figure.

And don't you worry about not wearing a "destination" wedding gown. You wear whatever you want to wear, it's your wedding day!

Thank you so much ladies!  It means a great deal as I was quite shy to post my picture.  This was the first dress I tried on and it was the only picture I kept because it was the one that made me feel like me and a bride.  Looks like I will be saying yes to the dress!!

It's gorgeous!! And absolutely not too full! You should see mine! lol Positively with the belt. It adds the necessary bling!!

Oh yes - who is the designer by the way?? It really is pretty.

Beautiful!! Go for it!! And I agree with saying yes to the belt too! I remember thinking that I had to have a certain type of dress that was "more suited for the beach" going by different people's opinions in the beginning of the dress shopping, but then I felt super limited in the style options and couldn't find anything that I liked, much less loved. And then I found my perfect dress - which I bought over a year and a half before the wedding - and never looked back because I knew it was perfect for me and the wedding I wanted - beach or no beach :) So I am a firm believer that it is all about how it makes you feel and you shouldn't have to limit your options just because you are having a beach wedding. And you should be every bit of confident in that dress because it looks amazing on you! And after all was said and done I loved the fact that I had some poof and a train - even though a lot of people might have thought it was kind of crazy, I can't help but feel that it came out that much more beautiful (I'm sure I'm a little biased lol) - but the point is that it is your wedding day and your dream to come true... go with your heart!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
