Styling Trio Vs The Best Moments Hair And Make Up

Recommended Posts

I was between 2 as well and I had my hair stylist take a look at each website. She picked Styling Trio and I also asked our photographer since they see alot of hair and make up being done. I also asked a friend who knows someone who lives there locally and across the board everyone said Styling Trio. I still get crap from FI about how much it is but seeing their pictures, I know it'll be worth it! To me it is worth the splurge :)

Thank you! I did contact them as well but I'm not sure how I feel about them..

Congratulations! Your wedding is just right around the corner.. Please don't forget to post some reviews from The Best Moments :)

I absolutely will! We also hired del sol photography so I'll post a review on them, too. So far, I can say that I am EXTREMELY pleased with del sol. Ael who answers all emails, helps with booking, etc. called me last week to discuss photos that I wanted. I mean, wow.

Thank you!!! My FI is actually against me hiring a hair and makeup artist. When we did our engagement photo, I hired someone with supposedly 5 stars review here at home and he hated my makeup she did for me. I ended up changing my makeup and doing it myself. He's insisting I just do my own makeup. I've been telling him its not the same on your wedding day. Oh guys sometimes they just dont get it...

I'm bringing my own photographer from home. Although my package has a photo and video coverage included, I think I'm gonna try to swtich it to a family photoshoot before the wedding instead of a wedding coverage. When we came to Dreams and visited, I asked Claudia and adventure photos and they told me it shouldn't be a problem. I want to add a photo booth from adventure photos as well. I haven't gone far with that but I'm hoping they can work something out with me.

Are you gonna be doing a trash the dress session with del sol?

I went with Styling Trio and would 100% recommend them.  I've gotten my makeup done a bunch of times (in Toronto) and it was by far the best makeup I've ever had.  I looked like me but much better haha. They are definitely pricey but I have to say I thought they were worth every dollar.  I had Adrian and Susie on my makeup and Esperanta on hair - all were wonderful

You can see some pics and more commentary in my review #2 (see signature)

Thank you so much! Your wedding looked absolutely beautiful! I did read a few reviews about Styling Trio makeup lasting till the following night. Not that I'm planning on not taking them off, I was thinking of having a change of hairstyle and a possible retouch after the ceremony or something. I'm not sure if that's necessary because I'm sure it'll be an additional charge.

No I only paid the price they quoted me. I paid the deposit online through PayPal in advance. The trial for me was added on at the last minute once in Mexico and actually paid the balance for that online through PayPal as well after they came for the trial but before our wedding day. The remaining balance was paid in cash the day of the wedding but I assume that it could have been paid through PayPal as well if it would have been necessary. I guess it would have been nice to tip on top but unfortunately I didn't have any extra money.

@@jenna85 you and I have the same wedding date I've also booked Styling Trio, they were one of the first vendors I booked. After reading all the great reviews about them I knew I had to book them. Plus they're an approved vendor for Palace resorts so at least I don't have to pay vendor fees

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
