Hello brides!

My fiance and I planning to get married this year in November and are scrambling to find a venue that is available in Tulum. There are only a couple venues available for our date and we have narrowed it down to Piedra Escondida or ZAMAS.

I like how Piedra Escondia has its own private beach which will give us an intimate wedding but I think I like the layout of the Zamas restaurant more. I am basing everything on pictures, reviews, etc as neither of us have been to Tulum. If any of you have visited either hotel I would really appreciate your thoughts!

Thanks all!

Hi Shauna!
I understand you are "frantic", picking a venue is hard if you don't know the destination! I'd like to offer up a couple of other ideas for Tulum weddings, some really beautiful venues available.

Akiin Beach club weddings are great, they have a beautiful beach, a large palapa and a coordination team that ensures that YOUR tastes are satisified, very personal detailed service.

Las Ranitas weddings, wow, this place is great. Exceptional beach, pretty terraces, a pool (not common in Tulum) and a big beautiful palapa restaurant. This Las Ranitas wedding of Vanessa and Seumas is one of our all time faves for sure.

Cabanas La Luna weddings are the third option I will share, they are so charming and intimate. We recently shot a Cabanas La Luna wedding just for two, bride and groom traveled from Italy to have a totally romantic wedding day. When the garden is set up with the twinkling lights, lanterns and candles, it is gorgeous!

So many options it is a tough decision! Definitely check out as many photos and reviews as you can to get the "vibe" of the place and ensure it matches your vision. All the best, happy planning!

Hi Matt,

Thank you for the suggestions! I would love to have my wedding at Las Ranitas but they are undergoing renovations and won't be open in November which is when my wedding is. The other venues you mentioned are already hosting weddings as well so that's why I am debating between Piedra Escondida or Zamas or maybe I can rent a private beach villa and host the wedding there. It's just difficult deciding when you have never visited the area, haha.

Hi Shauna,

Love the idea of a private villa wedding (this link will show you all our weddings in private villas). Tulum is fantastic and nearby Soliman Bay has a unique venue called "Casa Buena Suerte".  Here are some pics of the venue:

There are many private villas available in Puerto Aventuras as well, Hacienda del Secreto, Hacienda Corazon, and Hacienda del Mar just to name a few.

Hope that gives you some more ideas for intimate villa weddings!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
