Sounds like your friends organized such a fun and memorable weekend! I'm so glad you guys had tons of fun, exactly what you needed!!!

 

And how the heck did you look so good all night? I was a mess by the end. I have pics that show the negative effects of alcohol lol. Kinda looks like an anti binge drinking ad lol

Oh Steph - I'm sorry for everything you've been through. You've really had it all, haven't you? I'm glad you've been able to stay positive (just little meltdowns lol) and not be a true bridezilla! The groomsman stuff just blew me away. I don't get some people. Even being married twice I've never been through that lol I agree - just buy the stupid pants and shut up about it!!

 

I can't even imagine how hard it was to cancel both your mom's trip and Sean's parents too. I know how hurt Doug and I were when his parents opted out of Jamaica when we got married and the reason wasn't even health related. You're so right - your mom's health is paramount and elderly parents on their own in strange surroundings, one with some dementia is a recipe for trouble, so as hard as it was it was right. Worrying about permanent resident cards is stress enough when it's under normal circumstances never mind adding the stress of trying to get it done for a wedding. This way it's not critical right now. What you've planned for your legal wedding sounds so romantic and so special - both sets of parents will love it and I know having all that time to devote solely to them will be super special. You'll remember it for years to come and so will they!

 

I LOVE the flower and hair pics, especially #3 of the hair. That would look so gorgeous on you!!!! Your dress will be stunning with it all put together!

 

I love everything your girls put together for your bachelorette! Looks like it was a ton of fun! Love the pics!!! And imagine a groom giving you a flower! That sounds like one lucky lady that married him and I think it will mean your marriage will be very special! Two questions lol  We spend a lot of time in both Niagara on the Lake and NF and I'm not familiar with the pie place or peppermints.....  not sure I should really ask about the latter... But the pie place I'm curious about. We already have our hotel booked for January for the Icewine Festival so somewhere different to eat while we're there would be nice.

 

Hopefully I can be there Friday. I'll see how I feel by then.

@@acw271011 Thanks Ann!! It's been a roller coaster ride in the last couple of months for sure...and I'm sure it isn't over yet but right now we're excited about both our little getaway with our parents for our legal ceremony and of course gearing up for Mexico! It's starting to feel real!! 

 

As for the places in NOTL - Sean and I also love visiting! We go every year to visit my clients at the Shaw Festival! The Pie Plate has been on my list for a while and now I've finally been there. It is right across from the Silversmith brewery (if you're familiar with it), on your way into NOTL but not on the main "downtown" strip. ...Peppermints is in the falls and let's just say I have lots of stories for our next GTA meet up that the other girls all heard about on Friday - haha!

 

 

 

Ok ladies there are a bunch of things to update but I will get to that by the end of the week. Tonight we picked up my in laws from the airport and tomorrow (well I guess technically today - Tuesday 8th!) we get legated hitched!!! I know we're keeping the legal ceremony small and simple but I can't believe it is going to be for real tomorrow!! I'm picking up my flowers, getting my hair done and then off we go. I will post pics as soon as I can! For tonight we took out Sean's parents to the 360 restaurant at the top of the CN tower for a special supper! They loved it!

We're also less than one month away from being in Mexico!!!! So crazy!  :D

 

OH and the most important update of all...that groomsman BOUGHT THE PANTS!!! LOL! I think that after everything he was scared not to..haha

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
