Thanks! No I just gotta figure out how to get them to Punta Cana without ruining them.

@@calgarybride2015

I will give that a try tonight see if we can come to some compromise

@

My Bachelorette is in Punta Cana...and apparently its Top-Secrete...I know it some sort of excursion during the day that I have to wear beige shorts and a white top and something I have to wear a white dress for at night...lol... obviously I have one bridesmaid who is concerned about my ability to dress myself...lol...she claims it has something to do with the pictures.

so the velum is pretty stiff...I cut out the shape using the template...word to the wise, make sure your template fits, mine didn't I had to adjust after...If I had a full gold or color sheet instead of gold and white pattern you would notice it more!

After I cut the shape, I cut X's where the light holes are. I put the paper in place and pushed the big bulbs through the X's...that kept the paper in place. If you have a non see through sheet you can use glue or double sided tape. If you use a Glitter paper the bulbs may not fit through the X's

I still don't have a guest book yet...I'm stuck for what to do...I kinda want to do Two things....A scroll that everyone signs after the ceremony...and an advice for the the bride and groom card...I kinda want a picture of each guest / Couple tho so I was thinking of having a selfie stick and my phone there so they could take a picture that I could print later...is that stupid?

Thank you so much for the tip on the flags! I didn't think they'd look too pretty if I wrote on them so I'll try the stamps. Yay 50% off coupon :)

@ I can't believe you forgot you had them! You were the one who inspired me to get them lol. I want to get silver or coral paper to go in the marquees but Der wants to paint them.

Love the scroll idea! I also really like the selfie stick idea and don't think it's a dumb idea at all! You should totally go for it. We plan to have our go pro at the wedding with us and we want to use it for the reception to capture our own personal footage aside from what our videographer captures. I'm definitely going to be encouraging selfies all night because we have a gopro with a selfie stick.

Agreed about the selfie stick!

My BMs husband had his go pro on the go the whole day. Some of the video he captured of us singing and dancing makes me laugh so hard I almost pee my pants (jk)

Those are awesome memories to capture whether picture or video

Oh boy - the Go Pro was THE BEST THING we did for our wedding. It was going all week and the footage is so hilarious and fantastic and filled with memories we absolutely could not have captured any other way. From dancing in the disco, to hanging at the pool, to late night snack bar antics, to the ceremony itself - it was totally worth it.

We're going to hire someone to edit it into a montage video, we were just waiting for our professional pictures to add into it. I highly, highly, highly recommend it.

So I guess, yeah, I'm in favor of the selfie stick too! Anything you can do to capture special moment and memories. You won't regret it :)

We were thinking of buying a GoPro...but it kinda feel out of our budget...maybe it will have to be an early Christmas present...lol! Thanks to you Girls I have decided to definitely do the selfie stick with my phone as well as the scroll...I think I will ask people to sign the scroll right after the ceremony

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
