Grand Sirenis - From The Uk - Silver Package!

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies!

We've booked our wedding at the Grand Sirenis for 19/04/2016 (I like to plan ahead!)! We booked the silver package with Thomson, mainly because we didn't expect many people to want to travel to Mexico for our wedding! Just curious to know if anyone else has booked this package or had their wedding already and they had the silver package, just to find out what it was like. I have no idea what extras I need to pay for and how much they are. My wedding co-ordinator isn't meant to be in touch for another 9 months!

I've read a few threads on here, but they mostly sound like they had the bigger wedding packages.

I really have no idea what I'm in for here, so hopefully they've been great weddings! (Too late to go back now!)

Cat xx

Hey!

welcome and congrats!

Here is our main thread, but the later posts are the most up to date ones, we recently had a review from a UK bride :)

I essentially had the silver package but got it for 'free' as I had enough guests book (you need 10 double rooms booked for 7 nights).  That said I booked my wedding thru the hotel not a travel agent/airline back home.  So unsure if they vary some in that regard.

I have no issues emailing you all the extra price lists (they are 2014 but can give you an idea).... but since you didn't book thru the resort I am unsure if they would differ.  Davina on the thread may have more insite as she is a UK bride who just got married there.

Check out the link above. Also see below my msg, I have some links to pictures, my review, etc.  I am always open to answering any questions you may have!

Thanks for your reply! I'll have a look through the main thread and your review. I've read quite a bit of your planning thread already which was helpful!

If you could email me the price list, that would be great. I'm hoping I'm not looking into this a bit too early, as I don't want to go into panic mode about prices!

By the way, how do you email me?!

It is good to be prepared and to know how much you need to save for your wedding.

I emailed the wedding department weekly with questions and for quotes on flowers, etc.  I then got my wedding coordinator about 1 month out and that is when we firmed up all the little details, appointments, timeline scheduling, etc.

Are you able to email the wedding department or do you have to go thru your travel company with questions?

You would have to give me your email address.  You can private msg it to me if that makes you more comfortable.  Just click on my picture (I think) and it will bring you to my profile page where you can send me a msg.

I think I can email the wedding department - think I've got the email address about. I was told by my travel agency to avoid trying to arrange things too soon with the wedding co-ordinator as they'll probably forget! I'll try to email them to see they can send me a price list of extras then.

I'll send you a private message now. Thanks again!

@@Catface1027 I'm getting married just 10 days before you at the Grand Sirenis, using the free (Silver) package and upgrading as required.

I've received the extras pricing for 2015 and it was unchanged from the 2014 pricing so the info received from @@calgarybride2015 should be correct for your wedding.

Happy planning!

@@Catface1027 Hi! I am also getting married at the Grand Serenis in February 2016! We have decided to do the Free (silver) package as long as we get enough guests attending. We are paying for the private beach and palapa as we want the wedding to be private. My sister got married in Cancun 3 years ago and it was distracting having people in the swim wear standing all around us watching.

We worked out the price for everything we wanted based on all the packages they have to offer and doing the free package with upgrades is the best for price. I think if we for some reason don't have enough people for the free I'd pick the presidential package though because it has all the extras we want (plus more we dont care about).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
