Thank you to whoever suggested the wedding DJ app! I downloaded it today and I swear, this is going to make it so much easier for us. We would love to do the DJ but it's not in our budget. I'm going to do a test of the app as soon as I'm done with my playlist.

I was just looking at it this weekend. It sounds really practical! I think we're totally going to go that route because we also can't really afford the DJ either.

I know the app is only available for iPhone and iPad but I heard some brides use Spotify as their DJ. You just have to pay the premium account. We would love to do the DJ route but I just know it's not in our budget. :( It would make it easier for us. I have read online about some people saying the DJ is able to get a feel of the crowd while with a an iPod, it can't.

Spotify uses wi fi ritht? I'm afraid that the wi fi will crap out in the middle of the party and it totally kills the mood. Internet can be kinda spotty over in Mexico from my previous experiences at least so I don't want to risk it.

I'm afraid people will get bored too but then I remember that we always have some awesome house parties over here at home with the same people, this will just be extra awesome. Also, my friend had her computer hooked up for her wedding (no dj). Honestly it was one of the best weddings ever. We all danced until they kicked us out haha.

Hi @@deecol

We actually ended up hiring a DJ.  We weren't going to but we just didn't want to worry about anything music related or any technical difficulties.  For us it was one thing off our plate and it was worth the extra money. :)

@deecol   Awww - I started it but I am waiting for our photographer to send us the pictures.  He is sending us double the agreed upon number of photos so I'm waiting patiently.  :)  Stay tuned ....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
