Acw271011 So This Is Not A Planning Thread.... But

I always say you need to pick something you'll stick to forever. That's what I try to do -- I'm not going to deny things I love I'm just going to limit them!!! And 19 is not unattainable, heck if I can lose what I did we both can lose 20 lbs!!! It's all a mind set.

Kim you're so good for my ego!! lol Seriously, I think some of it is age as well. Sometimes it feels like I look at food and gain weight!

You are one amazing woman!! xx

I can't believe how fast this wedding coming around! I will be ordering my dress at the end of April as I still have a little weight to lose!! I can then get it altered if I need to xx

Exciting

Have you checked on the ordering? The end of April sounds awfully close for timing. I just did my dress on Friday and the salon really pressured me to get it done because of how close the timing is. I was stunned. She said it might come in earlier than they expect but she said six months, which gives me end of August then I have to schedule the alterations. We fly on October 17th so I definitely want to make sure it's all done before we go.

I'm going to try to lose weight..... I use Myfitnesspal and I find it really works when I'm using it faithfully...but it is a lot of work tracking everything! The key I think is to keep moving...I have a desk job, and very Low (like NONE) Iron so I am super tried and dizzy all the time! I started an Iron supplement and now its warming up outside so I'm going to try walking to work.

It is all about the mind set like @@calgarybride2015 said! Realistic goals...I know I'm not going to lose 20lbs if I set my only goal that high.... so I'm setting it for 5lbs at a time...eventually I get to the big 2-0! lol might take forever! haha

I've already resigned myself not to be disappointed if it doesn't happen....besides I'm going on this trip with my closest family and friends and I'm sure they don't care if I have a little jiggle around my middle as we drink and dance by the pool!!

Well some things are finally coming together. Azul Fives is out. We're back at Grand Coral Beach Club, booked and confirmed. Yay!! We're going to be up on the rooftop terrace overlooking the water. I'm in the process now of deciding on a gazebo to set up, and figuring out flowers.

This is what I've found that I think I'm going with, except I'm going to add fuschia pink flowers to it half way up each side:

Doug is going to be wearing a turquoise  vest and tie, and my flowers are going to be fuschia so I want to keep the colour theme. I'm thinking turquoise sashes - a couple for Grand Coral then a couple for the restaurant. Then I'm thinking pink in a table centerpiece.

I've picked out bags, but again I only need a couple and I know what's going in them but I'm not going to worry about all that stuff for a while yet until we know absolutely who is going with us.

So I think I'm done! lol

Ladies - I need some advice please. So I ordered the key card holders and I would swear I asked about a clear pouch but....... somewhere along the way it ended up being blue.

Well I picked them up from my son over the weekend and I really don't know what to do. I had my little key cards made:

But the blue of the pouch is so dark that when I put the card inside, it disappears. You can't read it. You can barely even see it!! Just NOT what I wanted at all. I know I can't send them back but I really don't know if I want to even use them.

So - put up and shut up? Or find something else so that I can use my nifty little cards that I worked so hard at making????  Help!!

how about playing around with the colors a bit? I know it's not ideal but it will be easier than ordering something new and all these pouches going to waste. The pink on the card seems to have quite a bit of blue in it so maybe that's why it's not showing up properly through the blue plastic. Maybe try with colors on the opposite side of the spectrum from blue and see what happens. Maybe it works?

If those colors are still not doing it for you, you could always try and sell the pouches on here, I'm sure there's plenty of brides who would take them off your hands and then you're not at a total loss. That's too bad, they're really cute pouches though!

Oh no!

Do you have record of your color of choice being clear?  If they messed up, I think they should either exchange for the right color or atleast refund your money!  I realized you had them shipped to the states but you do still have some time for this to be made right.

I second what @@TinkerSofi said about the colors, although those are your wedding colors.  Maybe play around some and see if you can find a compromise that will show thru the darker blue.

Worst case you could try to sell them, but I think I would start with #1 and see what the company would do for me.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
