Acw271011 So This Is Not A Planning Thread.... But

Is the band bigger or my thoughts is it's thicker to house those diamonds. I can see what you mean but it's not noticable and down at look odd whatsoever. I like it :)

Actually the jeweller said last night that it's because we picked a cathedral setting and it's higher than usual. But i wanted it to sit above my wedding band. We looked at a couple and they were so low that when I tried them they completely covered up my wedding band. i told him I wanted something high enough to complement my band since that's what my e-ring was. In all honesty I think they just put it too high. It has beautiful scroll work underneath the halo and I did say that if there was a way to see it, it would be nice and I think they were so fixated on that they didn't look at the whole thing together. We had to explain 3 times what I wanted and I really didn't think it was that complicated.

But it's done now. I think it's just a matter of getting used to it. I'm sort of anxious to see if I can tolerate wearing all of the rings together all the time lol. What I would like to be able to do is, if I'm doing something and don't want to risk banging the new ring with my band, is take it off and just wear the thin band from Mexico by itself. I couldn't do that with my wedding band originally because it's an embraceable. It needed something dropped down into the middle to make the whole thing together.

Horrible auto correct in my last post sorry lol

Makes sense. I know a lot with the type of ring you got that have the same struggles getting the stuff visable on the sides. I think it's gorgeous and I hope you can handle wearing it all together!!! :)

@@acw271011 I love your rings! So beautiful. As for meeting up in Toronto so funny that you work so close! But I fly into Pearson Friday evening so assume you will be long gone by the time I get downtown. :(

Yesssss! You are getting very very close now! How exciting! The rings look great. What day are you flying out again?

We fly in on the 18th, do our anniversary on the 20th then fly home on the 25th. You're still coming in on the 24th, right? I really hope we can put something together! We also don't fly until 5 on the 25th so not sure what time they haul us out of there to head for the airport but I would thing there would be a bit of time on Sunday before we have to leave.

Well you wanted pics, I managed to get 2. But they are so god awful..... I definitely should NOT have had that last glass of wine on Friday night with the GTA ladies. I actually got on the bus to go home (no trains at that time of night) and called Doug and asked him to meet me since I was in absolutely no shape to drive. And saturday morning was..... ugh. Trying to get out of bed to go for my dress fitting was painful. I think I've had 2 hangovers in my life and I'm pretty sure that's what this was so that makes 3. Not fun. I just wanted to do my dress fitting and get back home and go back to bed for a nap!

The dress is almost a perfect fit. It gaps too much in the front so it's being taken in by about half an inch to close it up and then about 8 inches off the bottom as it's really long, and this was wearing my shoes! They are also going to add lace all around the bottom of the dress and down the back seam right below where the corset ties end so it will give it a bit of sparkle. Plus they're making small straps for the top that are narrow at the bottom, widen, then go down the back in a "V" and get narrow again. I really would like something over my shoulders. I also found out I don't need a bra with the dress as it already has cups sewn into it. Mind you.... you wouldn't know it in one of the pics. It's actually just the way the light caught the sparkle across the top. The veil matches closely enough and is the right length and with the little sparkle on it sets things off quite nicely. I'm pretty happy with it all. Except for the hangover.......

Sorry this will be short. I've had 2 job interviews already this week and now one has already asked me back for a second one Thursday or Friday so it would be nice to have something new locked down before we leave for Mexico and being able to walk away from the idiot I work for now. But I'm trying to make up time I've lost so gotta get on the go tomorrow.

I think it's gorgeous and honestly I think the straps will finish it off perfectly. From my bigger breasted perspective lol id feel more comfortable with the straps too :). Can't wait to see it when it's taken up in length! Gorgeous :)

Congrats on the second interview. That's awesome. Keep us posted.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
