Acw271011 So This Is Not A Planning Thread.... But

Recommended Posts

I personally like them

Both. I'm not sure your color scheme to say which one I like best based on that. Of the two I like the hints of white better as it feels more bright, like the tropics.

Oh I LOVE the second one!! Looks very tropical!! I'm not partial to red but that's just my own personal preference. What's important is what YOU like!! (But I still like the second one lol)

Ah! I thought I was following your thread! How could I not be!? Crazy! Any ways, I'm updated on it all now since the last time I read through. I love the starfish craft you did! It gives me some great ideas. I'm going to start making my chair hangers this weekend/ next week, and I was just thinking of hot glue gunning them to my tassle things but the broach seems like a great idea! And like I've said before, I'm so happy you got your dress! Its absolutely gorgeous!!! The keyhole back is absolutely amazing. I had considered doing a dress like that but I didnt like the idea of straps. I think you will look stunning on your special day! :)

@TinkerSofi  @yycbride2016  Thank you both of you. I'm anxious to see how they turn out. I'm thinking fuchsia chair bows and turquoise table runner. @@calgarybride2015 has been a huge help with my colours. I just think Doug won't like pink on the table so I think it's the only way to go. But I don't want to overdo the colour.

I still think that's not overdoing it heheh

If you have colored napkins and linens and plates and cups etc you may do that. But it would be quite similar to Rachel's which I personally thought was genius. I'm a little

jealous really hehe.

So I went to the dentist tonight and walked out of the dentist's office..... and into David's Bridal! Not a good move.....

I bought a veil and shoes! lol  The veil is perfect!! It has a bit of sparkle on it that I think is going to perfectly match my dress. They call it a starburst. I think  I need to take it back to be shortened though cuz it's a bit longer than what I wanted. I think. Yeah I'm sure. At least I think I'm sure. Am I??

The shoes worked out great, but I'm still going to get the Adrianna Papell's since I love them so much and the colour I can wear again anyway. They aren't over dressy that I couldn't manage them for work, and even in Mexico if we do one of the nicer a la carte restaurants one night I can wear them for that. Right? I already said.... I'm a total shoe slut so one more pair is only going to make my life easier!

The shoes are being dyed Horizon (royal blue).

Yeah me too. They charge you 5 bucks for it and she is telling me that there is a spray you can buy at a shoe repair type place that will waterproof dyed shoes so that the colour doesn't run. Plus my foot slides around a bit and they told me I can get petals to put inside the shoes so that doesn't happen. Geez..... I just finished saying yesterday - you really do learn something new every day!

Those shoes look so comfy! I'd definitely get the petals. If nothing else, they'll at least provide some extra cushioning to the balls of your feet, that's always a plus for me! haha. I got some for my shoes and I'm glad I did. As my foot starts sweating, it keeps going forward and it becomes quite uncomfortable, but not with the petals :)

I love the veil. I was totally the "no veil" kind of girl when this whole planning thing started, but now I love them and I love the look of them on people.

I agree with @@calgarybride2015 that I don't think you'd overdo it with the colors if you have the chairs in pink and blue runners on the tables. On the contrary, I think it would look nice and colorful, rather than monochromatic (if you were to have only one or the other). If you were to have the napkins and plates, etc. in different colors, yes, but not the way you're thinking.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
