Acw271011 So This Is Not A Planning Thread.... But

Recommended Posts

I am totally biased, so I vote for the ones I got, or #1 :). I think #1 are really fun, but my faves are still the Nina ones from Nordstrom haha (of course I'd say that, right?)

You will honestly not regret the Nordstrom ones. By the way, something I didn't mention, I did find the color was brighter in person than on the website, so plan for the blue to be less pale ;)

@@acw271011 how did I miss your thread? I read from the beginning and I'm so glad I found

it. You have wonderful ideas and your taste in wedding dresses is great! I love the story about how you and your hubby met and I admire your strength. I'm so glad that you guys are renewing your vows.

Thank you. That's really nice. I look back at the last 3 and a half years and sometimes I wonder why things have gone the way they have. Ours is not to question why.... I know that and everything happens for a reason, but there are days that I can't help but wonder what the reason is.

They're all Nina shoes, but just not from the Nordstrom site. They're right from the Nina site. That's good to know about the blue like yours. I totally LOVE the style - they're gorgeous, but yeah I was thinking the blue was lighter than what I wanted. Good to know it's brighter. I do like the colour in number 1 but the lower heel is what I liked about the other two. I'm a total shoe slut lol so I would quite happily take them all but Doug would have a fit!!! For Mexico, he's already asking me how many of my 25 pairs of flip flops I'm taking!!! And I'm already eyeing up what's out for this year!!!

well, I did my taxes the other day and since I had some money left over I decided to keep both the champagne and the pink ones haha but I'm wearing the pink ones for the wedding  . I have so many dresses that can go with either that both will get used :).

#2 are nice as well and since they are lower they will be more comfortable. I also think they'll get more use than #3. Don't order more than one though because you won't be able to decide, like me hahah, and then end up keeping both.

Hi! I actually have that third turquoise pair sitting at my desk right now! I have been having extreme indecision on my shoe choice and bought 5 pairs online to try. I like those because the heel height is very sensible but they are still fancy! The color is gorgeous and they are very comfortable, but I went with a small wedge shoe instead.

I agree that you probably wouldn't wear them again, or at least I wouldn't!

Right. time to get help again please. Shoes. I knew I wanted blue. The question is what colour of blue. Thanks to @@TinkerSofi the question of shoes has come to the forefront and she has fabulous taste!! lol

So - here are a couple that I'm looking at:

What do you think? Oh then there's also the blue ones the same as @@TinkerSofi 's pink ones, which are super, super gorgeous!!

I love shoes but it's hard for me to find comfy ones so when I do I hang on to them! Haha. I do love #1 but I'd probably have to take them off after the ceremony and photos haha

@@beckys98 So did you decide to keep the turquoise ones? I like them and I thought it would be a good colour to match what hubby is wearing. But I really would like a bright blue pair.

@tinkersofi  I love number 1 but yeah, I'm worried about the heel height. that's why I was asking you about yours. I have lousy knees - a consequence of wearing 4 inch heels when I was a WHOLE lot younger, and arthritis - so heels and I really just do not get along. having said that, every once in a while I find a pair with a heel that are just so totally comfortable, they break in easily and I can wear them with no problem.

I had beautiful high sandals when I got married. loved them!! they're still in my closet 4 years later. I lasted about an hour with them on then I went to flip flops and wore those for most of the rest of the day while we did pictures. I switched back to the heels for dinner then back to the flip flops again. I really would like to find a blue pair that I can wear for as much of the day as possible.

I love finding those gems of heels that are just magical. They look great and are so comfortable. The unicorns of heels hahah.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
