Getting All My Oot Bag Items Together....

Recommended Posts

@@MrsCtoB - i just got married and guests raved about having pain killsers alka seltzer tablets (essentially the same as pepto).  We had a couple ask for sunscreen. I think you are all set and covered complete with super cute bags!

Thanks for the info! How did you get everything to your destination?

Getting all my items together for my OOT bags and looking for some input. I have the bags themselves in hand and have purchased almost all of the items I plan on using.

I will attach some photos of what I have so far.

Here is what I have:

-personalized bag (1 per room)

-wrist coils with badge protectors (will print cards to go in each with cute saying etc.) (1 per person)

-first aid kit  (1 per room)

-shout wipes (2 packages per room, with extra I will keep if anyone needs more)

-hand sanitizer  (1 per room) (bridesmaids will get scented bath & body versions with case to attach to their travel bags pre flight)

-SPF  (1 per room, because no one ever brings enough lol)

-aloe vera gel  (1 per room)

-Blowfish hangover cure (The only item FI was excited about, haha)

-Pepto tablets (got a great deal on these, so each room can get multiples)

-Skin So Soft bug wipes (each packet includes 2 wipes, so 1 per room with extras if needed)

Not shown:

Advil (need to purchase)

Welcome letter

Itinerary

Map of resort

Any advice? Is there anything I am forgetting that you ladies recommend? I spent more than I wanted to on the bags themselves, but I couldn't help it! I love them.   I still have to figure out how I want to package the items also. Thanks ladies xo

OMG  I LOVE I bought the same bags I couldn't help myself I loved them they are so cute!

@@NenaRoss - we packed everything in large suitcases.  And took some things out of the boxes they came in to make more space.  So the Welcome Bags, cosmetic bags, mallets were packed loose in one suit case.  The individual packets and muslin bags were kept in their respective boxes since those were pretty small and packed in another large suitcase along with the bottles & tops for the insect repellant to go in.  Thankfully my new hubby is a pro at packing so we managed to get everything all supplies in 4 suitcases (2 large and 2 medium).

@@Paolah - not sure where you would be shipping or which resort you are using but I'm in the U.S. and shipping wasn't an option so I had no choice. :(   The resort we got married at won't accept packages and the U.S. Postal Service & FedEx staff I talked to advised against doing so citing the items would most likely not reach the intended destination or badly picked through.

It worked out though b/c as much as we thought we wouldn't have a need for the suitcases for our return, we actually did need them.  We put my dresses and his tux in one and a few guests brought gifts down (go figure) so we put those in the mediums.

I agree. We went with 6 and used 5 to get home. Put the extra one inside another. Dirty clothes take a lot of room and like you I put my dress in one lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
