Veryvalero's Wedding Planning Thread - Grand Sunset Princess

Sounds like a lot of us got flight changes. Mine moved to the Saturday too but I was actually happier because people flying in had less days missed at work!

No I wanted to use Sunwing but they were expensive at the time. We used Air Canada.

I'm glad that the change in flight kind of worked out. I love arriving to the resort early. I'm the type who just cannot hit the ground running, I need a day to adapt to a new place.

I actually had a dream last night that I was packing and when I woke up I thought I had two days to go before the wedding. I woke up with butterflies in my stomach haha. You're getting so close!!! I'm sure things will work out with the officiant, even if you guys have to move it to a weekday (that are probably less requested), at the end of the day the legal ceremony isn't the most part for us DW :). We ended up with a friday but at noon haha.

I am leaving in 5 days!  My brain can't even process it!

We are all packed!  I pick up my dress tonight for my final fitting- can't wait, very excited!

I'm probably going to be offline until after the wedding!  It's such a crazy busy time, and full of soooo many emotions.  I just started bawling out of nowhere yesterday because I was just full of happiness that I'm getting married to such an amazing person.  I feel very lucky these days.

The fiance suddenly discovered his graphic design talents just in time to design our guest welcome books!

We are so in love with them!  Here are a few pics.  We even included a picture of Toronto during a snow storm where it was -35c.  The picture says, "Too hot for you?  Winter is 187 days away so enjoy the heat!"   ha ha ..we know people will complain it's too hot but maybe that will give them a little perspective.

I was able to organize a small little surprise for the fiance!  I have a sapphire engagement ring and the FI thinks his wedding band is a simple gold band but I just had a sapphire added.  He won't see it until we exchange bands which will probably surprise him quite a bit.

i thought it would be nice for our bands to match a little.  Mine is white gold and he wanted his to be 18K yellow gold...but at least we will have the sapphires to tie us together.

eeeeeee!!! so excited!

Omg yay you are so close. I'm so excited for you. Make sure to slow down and take it all in. We say it a lot but it's so true :)

Your welcome book is fantastic. I love the 'to hot for you' part because it's oh so true!!! Hate winter :)

Please post pics of the ring too. Sounds like a wonderful surprise.

Congrats again

I love the welcome booklet and the idea of too hot for you? ahah. Kind of depressing to think that we wait all year for summer and then it's gone in the blink of an eye :(

Good luck with everything, I hope everything goes as planned and enjoy your day!!

I'm so glad your hubby has been so inspired lately, he did a great job with the welcome books. They tie in perfectly with your theme.

I know you may not get to read this but I wanted to wish you both all the best. As previously said, it may be a stressful time but it's all worth it. You are so prepared and organized and I can't wait to see how it all comes together. You're gonna make a beautiful bride

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
