You look gorgeous @!!

I can relate with the whole weight loss journey. I was once a lot bigger then I am now. When I was trying on dresses I was pulling size 18 and 20. The consultant was getting so frustrated because they were gigantic. She didnt understand that that is what I am use to being in. Any way, the dress I finally bought is a size 14!!

I believe in you! You can do this!!

Awww you are so sweet and thank you for the encouragement!    Congrats on the size 14!  I can totally relate.  The worst was when I went to Kleinfelds and I felt like the consultant was forcing some designs that just weren't for me and mostly because that's what was available in my size.  "thanks".

I'm super motivated and even more because I know come April 28th my dress is in and it better look amazing!  haha

I have four months left til the wedding and I think that it's more than enough time to pull off a success story! ;)

I had a productive week!  I have purchased my bridesmaid gifts!  Our dresses are coral and I bought them these wristlets.  They will match the dress so nice.  I also got them a little bowtie bracelet in gold.  I still have to design their jewellery but that will be later on

These are my shoes for the ceremony and I will have a little purse to keep my vows and tissue in.

The fans are going to be placed on each chair for our guests to cool themselves off.

I treated myself to a little passport holder!  How cute is it!??

One of my bridesmaids had vows books ordered for myself and the FI.  They are so cute.  It fits perfectly in my little purse.

Ahh getting very excited!

@@AyeWatSoon So happy to hear that the board is helping you out!  For me it was a reality check that a lot of things needed to be dealt with but in about a week or so we were able to really work through our list so it does feel great to see some of the stickies come off.  It also means that both myself and my fiancé are equally involved and active at working through these tasks.  I love it.

@TinkerSofi  We have tested them out and they are definitely waterproof. We love that they are invisible.   I'm envisioning some yummy strawberry daqueries filling up the cups to add some colour! :)

@Calgarybride2015  as always, so helpful.  Thank you for the packing tips.  I hadn't thought that far ahead yet.  How many did you take with you? Did they take up an entire luggage?    Yes - it was definitely a Begonia colour swatch from David's bridal.  We went a whole other route with our wedding colours!

Wedding colours - up next !

That's funny. I have the Begonia swatch too! lol I wanted Coral Reef but my daughter in law wants the pink so I said ok.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have been a little m.i.a with my planning thread.  I had a really tough weekend.  I think like most brides on this forum you find that at some point or another you encounter a bit of disappointment.  I posted on a different thread about a negative experience I had with someone in our bridal party.  (someone who is now no longer attending and no longer a friend.).

I spoke about focusing on gratitude and to not let someone else's negative feelings towards life, or my wedding affect my FI and I.

I decided to focus on all our guests that are making the effort to support us and send us text messages saying how excited they are, our guests that are counting down with us on, our guests that have been with us from the start.

So I designed this really cool thank you card for our reception.  One will be placed on each dinner plate.  We also will have some maracas at each place setting with a little tag.  I don't have pics of those yet.

So my advice to anyone feeling frustrated with the planning process, because it will definitely happen, practice gratitude and you will start reshaping the way you think and suddenly be so happy because you will realize how much there is to be grateful for!  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
