@@AyeWatSoon So happy to hear that the board is helping you out!  For me it was a reality check that a lot of things needed to be dealt with but in about a week or so we were able to really work through our list so it does feel great to see some of the stickies come off.  It also means that both myself and my fiancé are equally involved and active at working through these tasks.  I love it.

@TinkerSofi  We have tested them out and they are definitely waterproof. We love that they are invisible.   I'm envisioning some yummy strawberry daqueries filling up the cups to add some colour! :)

@Calgarybride2015  as always, so helpful.  Thank you for the packing tips.  I hadn't thought that far ahead yet.  How many did you take with you? Did they take up an entire luggage?    Yes - it was definitely a Begonia colour swatch from David's bridal.  We went a whole other route with our wedding colours!

Wedding colours - up next !

@ I need to go get some bristol board this week and start this. It's hard when my fiance and I don't live in the same house because we can't really have an exact copy of it but i'm sure we can work around that. maybe there's some kind of shared internet board where we can write notes.

When we were considering doing tumblers I had such a hard time finding waterproof labels! We had figured something out and I had a few supplies but then we changed our mind :P. At least I'll still be able to use the supplies though so not all is lost.

The material we used is called  permanent vinyl stick.  My FI works in the print industry and we were able to recover some scraps!  So it worked out nicely ;)

I just found this really cool online stormboard link:  https://realtimeboard.com/     It might solve the distance issue and it is free!

And that's great that your fiance was able to get those for free :). I love free things hahah, especially when it comes to planning things for the wedding, every dollar counts.

My girls are in the David's Bridal from Begonia if you wanted to see it in action!!!  LOVED it.

I brought 48 mugs. I got 40 in one large 30" (ish) suitcase. I didn't stack mine though as I had them full of goodies. I wrapped each one individually with bubble wrap.   Then I wrapped 10 or so straws together in bubble wrap and packed them tightly into a rubbermaid container that went into a larger suitcase.

Wedding Colours!!

I was so torn about deciding  what our wedding colours would be!  I'm a jewellery designer so I love combining colours and felt extra pressure to pick the best combo.  I wanted to pick a colour that would be very classy and yet reflect the chill atmosphere we are trying to create.

Soo...

I picked coral & gold

With sub colours  like cream and a navy blue (groomsmen)

The BM dresses are Henka dresses that I was able to find at Kleinfeld's.  They will do the alterations on site for $20.  The Henka dresses are convertible dresses and can be worn in so many different ways which means that everyone can wear the same dress and but wear it differently to suit their shape and preference.  The dresses are very light so I am told and they are ankle length so they can literally wear flipflops if they want.

I am designing their jewellery but I haven't quite yet but I will post pictures once I decide on the design.  I am inspired by some of previous designs.  (See pics) post-277519-0-94225400-1424398439_thumb.jpgpost-277519-0-88398600-1424398456_thumb.jpgpost-277519-0-40251300-1424398472_thumb.jpg

My bouquet will have soft creams, whites and coral flowers, bridesmaids will have cream flowers mixed with greens to give it that wild effect.

Centrepieces:  I have been experimenting at home making some of my own centrepieces.  Haven't decided yet but thought I would share my simple and inexpensive DIY centrepiece pics.  I turned a big shell into flower holder and inserted some flowers to give it that nice tropical look.

your colors are so classy! I love them. I keep seeing these colors pop up and I keep thinking "darn, I should have chosen that!" hahah.

I really like the bridesmaid dresses too! Especially the way it's worn on the third picture :)

You're just so creative! I'm jealous haha. Keep up the good work :D

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
