@@TinkerSofi I will follow your Azul foum. Im from the US so maybe that'swhy my Agent said that about the perks. Ive seen all resorts really do nickle and dime as much as they can.  I did however notice that  Azul their packages just show a reseervation being made for the reception dinner. Do they not have private areas ? Or are these addtional costs. Where you would have to pay for every chair and table and sound system etc. Pretty much create the entire party lets say on the beach but charged for every single item there. Or does this "reservation" indlude the beach party ?

If you're from the US that's perfect! you do get so many perks!! so their basic package, which is free for you, includes the basic set up for their ceremony and then a free semi-private dinner at one of their restaurants, among other smaller things. They do have private locations, really pretty ones too. For most of them you just pay the price of the food per person and that includes 4hrs of open bar, there's different menus at different prices. Then there's a few reception locations which are upgrades, so you have to pay a surcharge on top of the menu price per person. The private dinners have basic white linens so not much in terms of decor. If you want one of their signature packages for the reception it's $250 per table, or you can bring decor from home.

Then for music you can rent our their amplifier, that's $250 for 4 hours, or you can hire their DJ and they have different prices for them.

We're using the private dinner as a welcome dinner and paying for a private reception.

definitely go into their website and check their small print as they change it sometimes without notice. My advise is to also take a screen shot of all the small print when you book so that even if they change it you have proof of things the day you booked. I'm so paranoid, but sometimes you have to be.

Apparently their complimentary package is not free either for US brides at Azul Fives anymore, so it's $950. but it is free at some of their other hotels.

@@IvanLuckiePhotography Thank you for this break down! When you say the hottest.. is it unbearbale hot in August. I.E. sand it to hot to walk barefoot. Sun burn in less than 10 minutes if not protected?  I want ot hold the ceremony on the beach. Is that a bad idea for August?

Mainly the feeling in your body and air, sand white does not get hot, but concrete yes! and of course sun burns during any time of the year from 11am to 2pm will burn your skin in 30 minutes, you need to protect

I would definitely have it as the sun is going down

The prefect time is 3-2 hours before sunset, the latest the better but you need to do portraits and the best light is 2-3 hours before sunset, at least for what I like to do

Haha I had mine at 3pm. Damn it was hot and sunny but 330pm wouldn't have changed a thing and 400pm would have been to late as the sun set at 530!! Win some you lose some

    • we ended up using Facebook messenger when we were in Mexico - the hotel had free wifi and at least 1 person from each family/couple had FB on their phone already - it was pretty easy to communicate among guests "hey, we're heading to the beach bbq for lunch." or "everyone is hanging at the small pool today".  a plus was that some people tried to get a hold of me via FB on the day of the wedding and I was totally not checking my phone - they were asking if the wedding was outside given the rain forecast, thankful my mom, MOH and a few other friends were on the group and could respond for me :)

    • Hi Everyone, So, I was cleaning out my closet and realized that I never sold off my extra wedding OOT bag stuff from our wonderful DW.   46 Daily Spanish for Dummies 30 Pool colored OOT fabric bags - approximately 13in x 13in. They lay flat.  I used them for our wedding and they were perfect for everything we needed to fit in each bag. There’s a slight shade variation in the group; I’m guessing some were cut from a different bolt of fabric.  They are also a little wrinkled from storage and will probably be wrinkled from shipping. I have three additional ones, but they somehow got something on them (likely toddler related). If needed, I can try to wash it out and send those as well.
    • I’m getting married in six months to my foreign girlfriend. I was advised by a friend that one of the things I need to do before saying I do is to get a prenuptial agreement. Basically it’s supposed to protect my assets and properties in case my relationship with my future wife goes down the drain. I don’t know though if this is an acceptable practice when marrying Kiev ladies. I don’t want to do it if it would be insulting on her end. I need advice on this. Please help me.
