CONGRATULATIONS! you looked SO beautiful and juan looked so handsome! i just watched your ustream video and was amazed. i am so excited to be able to look back on our wedding like that too. it's like you keep getting married over and over again.

 

thanks for writing such a detailed review. i am so happy to read that everything went well and that the staff at the resort were so helpful and accommodating.

 

can't wait to see your pictures when you get them back!

thank you! I've been so MIA. We moved this past week into our home and so it's been a busy few days. We also didn't have internet for the first few days. 

 

According to Octavio, he was sending our pictures Sep 18, so they should be here soon! 

 

Now it's time to begin planning our reception in Argentina. My family is so excited!! We found this place in the city of Necochea. I'll post more about it for those who are interested. I've only seen pictures and my family was able to go see it, they said it's beautiful, and it's great because they take care of absolutely everything :)

@@TinkerSofi somehow I missed your post with your dance and the sneak peak of your photos! Your dance with Juan is amazing!! You guys looked so great and comfortable...just beautiful! 

 

Love your pictures - they look so good without any editing at all!! Can't wait to see the rest of them! :)

Your reception sounds exciting!  When are you planning it for?

we're leaving on December 26, so it will probably be the first week of January. It's summer over there so hopefully we'll get some nice weather! :) At least the place is gorgeous inside and outside.

 

@@snswedding2016 thanks! He said he would send them Sept 18 so I'm anxiously waiting now! haha. We will get a second shot at our dance over in Argentina, my whole family is basically like "you HAVE to do it here" hahah. No choice, but we have to keep practicing :P

Hey!! I just wanted to see how your reception in Argentina went!! :)

Can you believe I just saw this? I didn't see that there was a new reply on this thread :)

 

It went great! It was so nice to have such a big family reunion. There's a lot of us, so it's hard for everyone to be under the same roof. Everyone was super excited. We danced until 5am haha. The place was great, the food was amazing!! 

 

I was so happy, I got to dance with my grandpa. He was so happy too, it totally made my night :). 

 

Overall it was also a great two weeks. Juan fit into my family like he had known them for ages haha. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. I was a bit stressed about this because, you never know haha. He totally wanted to stay there forever!

oh, PS: Ironically enough, I made it the whole night on my wedding dress, in Mexico, when it was like 32 degrees but not in Argentina :(. Half way through the reception I got extremely bloated for some reason and I couldn't breathe in my dress anymore. Luckily, I had my backup dress. Turns out I got a stomach flu that lasted 3 days, but at least I didn't get it badly until the day after the reception. When the party ended my stomach started to hurt and I felt disgusted by everything (perfect cue for my whole family to ask whether I was pregnant already haha). There was something going around. 6 guests who were coming from out of town had to cancel because all 6 got a super strong stomach flu. My mom, grandma and aunt were also sick the day before, even though no one ate the same thing. Super weird.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
