Tinkersofi's Planning Thread - Azul Fives August 13, 2015

As promised, some of the Vegas pictures. The nice and the naughty hahah.

Today is dress fitting day. I'm very nervous and excited about it. Let's hope there are no surprises :). Work today will go at snail pace :(

Other than that, I've been feeling super exhausted this week so I haven't done much else. We're both getting really stressed about our first dance. With me being away and Juan working the night shift lately we haven't practiced for almost 2 weeks. I really wish we had started this earlier. Juan is getting super worked out about it so he's having trouble memorizing the steps. At this point, we might even scratch it last minute. We'll give it our best shot, but if it doesn't happen we'll just switch to a slow song last minute. I'd be disappointed but at the same time Juan does not work well under pressure and the more pressure he has to get this right the more trouble he has remembering the choreography. In the end it's turning out to be a nightmare, we pretty much fight every time we practice and my advice to him to just relax and let it be doesn't work.

@@TinkerSofi Love your photos! Looks like you guys had an amazing time!!

I agree I think do your best with rehearsing your first dance but if it becomes too much pressure it isn't worth it to be stressed about it. Sean's a great dancer but he also finds it very hard to remember choreography (and he's in the arts! ha!). Maybe by you saying this to Juan it will alleviate the pressure he's putting on himself and it may all fall into place anyway. Regardless you will have a beautiful first dance as husband and wife no matter what it ends up being! :)

Exactly. He started to get angry and saying that he wasn't going to look like a fool. In the end I just told him that we'll try our best but if it doesn't happen I also don't want us to look ridiculous up there. Either way it will be a special moment. I'm just hoping it all comes into place and he feels less pressure this way :)

@@TinkerSofi It looks like your bachelorette party/weekend was so much fun! I'm happy you got to spend such a great time with your girlfiends, especially in vegas!

As for the dace, I think less pressure on the moment is better. Reality is, and I always have to tell myself this, everything always works out in the end!

OMG you guys are hilarious!! The gigantic you know what is just too funny! But it looks like you had a good time!!

Don't stress about the dance. If the two of you are fighting over it then maybe just leave it for a while. Working the night shift sucks totally (been there done that) and it can completely throw your system out of whack. Maybe hubby to be is just tired and that's affecting his concentration as well. I know it would be something really cool to do in front of everyone but as you said, maybe if you had been able to start earlier..... I just hate seeing anyone fight over something that in the grand scheme of things, it's only the two of you that will miss it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
