Great job on your itinerary! Your vows in Spanish will be so dreamy, love the Spanish language! 2.5 months to go, neighbour hahaha! Moving is a lot of work.

@@calgarybride2015 I think the vows aren't the greatest I've read but I'm also definitely not a poet hahah. I think they reflect who I am and they would sound weird if they were sooo good haha.

Yay!! I was wondering the other day whether you had moved. I was just walking back home from these fitness classes I take around there :)

I think they should reflect you 100% and also you need to get them out. If they are too fancy you could also struggle. Easier to go with the heart. Haha that came out sounding silly.

The road is super busy. All night screeching tires and sirens lol I don't mind it as I'm used to hearing deerfoot and the airport but Shawn didn't sleep well. It's a lovely place and hopefully the kids can make friends.

Wow @@TinkerSofi You've done an incredible job! i love the vows more in Spanish! lol My spanish is not advanced but I can still catch it (I'm a ton better in French). I think if they reflect you, that's much better than having them not sound at all like you! And reading them in Spanish they'll sound better. I always find when I have to worry about translating things that it just never sounds the same.

I'm so sorry the resort is being a problem. That's the one thing - I think I got over the disappointment very quickly after trying to deal with them, especially after getting things put together so much easier with someone else. I'm sure your day will be awesome mostly because you've done so much of their work for them. I would fight for the booth if you feel it's worth it. It's just so not fair the way they nickel and dime. The resorts all realize that weddings are big business and that people will pay the money for what they want. Sad reality. Too bad there isn't a way to say "forget it" but they're such beautiful locations for a wedding.

It's too bad about the people dropping out. We lost our whole group when we got married so I know how frustrating it is. And yes, when it's close by and the meal is free they do show up. You do end up appreciating the people that make the effort a whole lot more, and I think in some ways a smaller group is more intimate and you do get more time with people.

@@calgarybride2015 that makes total sense. You can always tell when someone is trying way too hard and it doesn't sound real. Besides, the tears in my eyes probably won't allow me to read so I better have these semi-memorized hahah.

Hopefully you guys get used to the noise, maybe it was a bad night. I'm guessing it's worse during the weekend but it may be ok during weekdays. I do like this neighbourhood and there's so many kids, I'm sure your kids will make friends ;). I go to these fitness classes once a week at a park around here. I go once a week because I want to also take advantage of the gym, but they have classes 3-4 times a week. There's a playground there and there's always plenty of kids. If you live across the street from the catholic school, go left on the main road, make the first left and go to the end of that cul de sac, it's right there :)

@@acw271011 I agree, at first I was a bit more bummed about the drop outs, but now it's ok. We will have a blast regardless :) and I'll get to spend more time with each person. As I mentioned, some of these are still maybes, so they're not total drop outs yet. I just don't have much hope for people that are still maybes 4 days before the deadline.

I agree with you 100%, when you translate things, so much gets lost in translation. I bet if I wrote different ones in English they would sound wayy better. As I was writing them I also got a lot of ideas in English and they were great, but when I translated them to Spanish they sounded so bad hahah. I soon realized I couldn't translate, and they had to straight up be made in either one language or the other :P

The resort can be so frustrating. Sometimes I do wish I had gone with a beach club instead. They are lucky that their venues are so beautiful. I don't know, maybe most resorts are like this. I just feel like they treat people like they're idiots and that we will pay whatever for something we want. There's definitely a limit to everything.

@snswedding2016 @perianjay thank you ladies. I might tweak them a bit, but I don't think they'll change much :)

thanks! I know I feel like I could have spent a fortune on the OOT bags if it wasn't for Juan saying no to basically everything haha.

I can't wait to see the dress with the alterations in about 3 weeks!

Haha I know how you feel too. Kyle is so funny when I started making my OOT bags this weekend. He was like what are you doing? You have 9 months to make those. He claims he's going to put together the bags for the groomsmen... I just laughed because If I left it up to him he would do it the day before flying out and would be nothing summery in it since we are getting married in February haha. Men...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
