How were you able to place "links" in your wording on your weddingwire website? For the life of me i cant figure it out. People continue to ask me how to get to certain pages or what the site for our TA is. ( even when the entire link is posted there) it seems easier to just have something for them to clink and get access too. Thank you!!!

@@racht33 If you go to edit the text, select the word/words you want to hyperlink and click on the button I highlighted with green on the picture. Then it will let you enter the address for the link, you click ok and it has been hyperlinked!

How have I missed so much! You are so creative and am so jealous of that. I love the hangers, how did you get the ribbon tied perfectly? I think that alone would be a struggle for me lol

I love the look of the suspenders, I think it completes the outfit. It looks sharp!

And don't be hard on yourself during these last two months. I agree with everyone that I would consider myself very lucky if my to do list (2 months from the wedding date) looked like yours.

I don't know if they'll get to take pictures with the hangers for the guys. most of the pictures I've seen for guys getting ready is them putting on their ties or things like that. Their sessions are way shorter than ours because it takes them like an hour to get ready and that's it, so jealous :P.  I just thought it would be a nice touch anyway for them :)

thank you :). The bows is kind of a cute story, when I was growing up in the 90s bows were everywhere lol and my mom had the dining chairs with cushions and the cushion's straps were big enough to make nice bows. So sometimes I would play and make perfect bows on every chair, so let's just say I got plenty of practice. The one on the bride hanger there on the picture is actually a bit uneven and it bugs me hahah.

I'm finding the planning a little overwhelming now. I'm trying to make working out my priority right now, but usually by the time i get home from work and everything I only have time for working out or doing something wedding related. It's frustrating.

Yeah, ours was $150, so even less of an incentive to pay the full amount haha. We have a couple of people who want to jump ship now and go to the hotel next door that is about $200 cheaper. I don't even know if that's the best idea, considering they'd be out of $150 if they do that, but who am I to tell people what to do.

@@TinkerSofi Why would anyone change resorts to save $50?!? Unless they specifically want to be separate from the group (which is possible). I don't get it.

P.S. As much as I'm personally going for a more casual wedding, I vote for the suspenders  :)

@@ashhtayy  Below is the last email I sent to our guests - about 5 days before the (real) booking deadline. We scooped up about another 10-12 people with this (out of a total of about 30 booked with our TA). I also texted a few people who had RSVP'd yes but had not yet booked. I played dumb on that... "Hey, just wanted to make sure you got the email..." (even though I can track when they open it!).

Dear XXX,

Just a quick note to remind you that the travel booking deadline is this Friday (May 15). Booking by this date will secure the group rate for you, no matter your travel situation (different departure cities, flight + resort package, resort only, etc.).

Of course, you are welcome to make your own travel arrangements. Or, if you are unable to commit at this time, our travel agent is available whenever you are to ready help you find the best rate available at that time. However, please note that the resort is filling up fast and may sell out soon.

Please visit our <wedding web site> for more details and, if you haven't already, please submit a preliminary RSVP. All travel details are available on the web site, and also linked to this email below.

<links here>

If you don't think you will be able to make it, please let us know via online RSVP or simply reply to this email. We'll be disappointed, of course, but we realize this trip isn't going to work for everyone. And that way, we'll quit bugging you about It ;)

Please contact either of us if you have any questions.

I love the sound of that email :) @@vancouverpetunia. It was probably more informative than my text haha.

I really don't know if they'll switch hotels or if they'll even come, but I think if you're already short on money, losing $150 would kind of hurt. These are two young kids (young, like 23 lol) and honestly they're a bit disorganized. They had a year to save up but they didn't. At this point I'm done making accommodations for people or trying to put out fires so they can do whatever they want, they just need to let me know haha.

@@TinkerSofi Not that it really matters, but if they are saving $200 at the other resort, but losing the $150 deposit, aren't they losing $50 in the end? Or is it $200 cheaper even if you factor in the $150 deposit? I agree - you have to stop somewhere. Some people just won't be able to make it work.

They actually might be saving $200 after taking into a account the taxes for our resort and everything, which I guess it kind of makes sense.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
