Thanks ladies! I love totally love it, and so does he :). I can't wait to see him on the day of :D

@veryvalentine @Wafflesmom he got it at Harry Rosen. He spent quite a bit of money on it, but he said that when he tried it on he stopped feeling bad about the cost because it just looked so nice!  It's funny because I started out like "Your suit cannot be as much as my dress" but the more I thought about it, I will use that dress once (twice for me because of the reception in Argentina), so it's easier to justify spending good money on the suit. I got a really good deal on my dress and I was really underbudget, so we used the rest of that money towards his suit :)

It looks very similar to the Armani suit he tried on the first day with the plus being that it was much, much cheaper ;)

Some info on made to measure suits

For those considering going the made to measure route, which I think is worth it if your guy likes to wear suits, I totally recommend this place. There are two made to measure processes, one in which you pick a suit to start with, then they take your measurements and so they make that suit, in your fabric of choice with your measurements from the get go (rather than having to alter everything later, which sometimes some things cannot be altered). The other way is to make a suit from scratch, which of course is a lot more expensive. We picked the first one and we're super happy we did :)

The costs really depend on the fabric you pick. There were some around $800, which isn't so bad depending on what you want. You can find very nice suits off the rack for $800, but you just can't compare them with the made to measure fit. It honestly fits like a glove. They have the suit ready in about two weeks and when it comes in they do final alterations (for free), such as hemming the pants and other minor things. For example, we found out Juan has a longer arm haha but when they make the suit they make both sleeves of equal length and then they alter that once it comes in.

Out of curiosity what will the groomsmen wear? We haven't got that far but I have some ideas.

Sorry for being kind of MIA the last few days. I've been following people's threads but I've had very little energy to reply. I caught a stomach bug that has kept me in bed for the last 2 days :( so not much planning going on. Unless you count all the netflix shows I caught up on...

Thanks! I totally love the color as well. It's nice and fun! Very youthful, and same with the fit of the suit.

The groomsmen will be wearing dress pants, white shirts and pink ties (same tie as the groom). I wanted grey pants for them but now I think it will look better if they're all wearing blue. We'll be getting them from express because they have a very nice fit and they can be worn again :). We're just waiting on another one of his friends to see if he will be standing with us.

The ties will be from Etsy most likely. I haven't decided yet on #1 or #2. I found #2 the other day and forgot to show it to the fiance today to see what he thinks. They're both from a store called TieObsessed. They literally have every color under the sun.

Hope you feel better!!!

Both ties are great. I like the color of tie two better but both are nice :)

I think blue or grey pants would be nice. Grey may be more safe unless you can find a matching blue or one that contrasts nicely with his shade. Was contrast the right word? Hahaha

I agree about the blue pants and white shirt. I prefer tie #1 ....the shade of pink is what I like over #2. That's kinda the direction I want to go in but I have to present it to the FI. He needs to see it ....so when you have pics please post :)

me too! haha. I didn't choose a mermaid dress but only because I seemed to be the only one who loved them and neither my mom or my MOH thought they were really "me" haha. However, I am totally an ocean girl too so I'm obsessed with mermaids too :)

So Since you are an Ocean / Mermaid Girl too I thought I's share this with you....I'm getting a custom Bikini made from Cheeks Bikini's the fabric is called mermaid blue....they have tons of colors...but my neighbour got the Mermaid Green and I loved it so I had to order one for myself!

About the kids menu... I have... 2 babies - a year and a half by then. a 3 year old, a 4 year old, a 6 year old and an 8 year. I think I am going to do kid's menus for all of them. I will probably ask because it is my sister and my sister in law.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
