@yycbride2016 @calgarybride2015 aww thanks!!

@Meandhim thank you! You should totally get one!! I was thinking of making some kind of piece with it after I collect all of the pictures. I think it'll be something cute and different to maybe hang on my wall somehow.

@Wafflesmom I almost got the pink! I was deciding between pink and blue.. I just went with blue for some reason even though most of my decor is pink haha.

@perianjay You're so creative and talented!  You have that "teacher chalkboard" writing I've always wanted... I hope that makes sense and you know what I mean lol.  The type of writing that's perfect and looks so fun!  Mine looks like a 12-year-old boy's writing :( lol

Escort Cards

For our escort cards I decided to keep it simple. I've seen a lot of really great ideas, but we needed to cut costs somewhere so this was one area that we didn't want to put a lot of money into. I purchased actual escort cards from Walmart and they were on clearance for $10 a pack. I only needed one pack. Chester will be printing them (free) and I created the design for them myself.

I did a test print today at work using just regular paper. I'm actually really happy with it and I love that you can download the template for the paper online so it makes it pretty fool proof with lining everything up properly.

Here's a picture of how it looks (again, it will be on nicer cardstock style paper)

I'm pretty content, but I am going to try to think of a solution for weighing them down somehow. I was even thinking of going to home depot and buying those flat washers or something and gluing them to the inside of the card. I just don't want them to blow away.

Those are adorable escort cards! I wish I'd printed on mine instead of hand writing them. I'm also going to have the same issue with trying to weigh them down...

@yycbride2016 I was going to try to do calligraphy, but then I decided I would

a) be too hard on myself and probably never be happy with them and

b ) spend so much time doing it haha.. so I just decided to take the lazy way out and print instead. I like the look of hand done so much more though.

I'm so worried they are going to fly away.. I think the best bet is maybe a flat metal washer or something.

Congrats on the legal ceremony...you looked beautiful! And great job with the chalkboards. You are so creative! They came out amazing!! I would never trust myself and my handwriting to do something like that but yours are perfff! Better than store quality! Great job lady.  :wub:

@MrsCtoB aww thank you so much! :) That makes me feel really good! I tend to look at it over and over and try to find flaws haha.. so I finished the chalkboards and hid them away so that I don't try to re-do them.

I browsed through the pages of this thread.  First congrats on your recent legal marriage.  You looked very pretty.  Next you are super crafty and I love all of your ideas.
