It's so true. And the ones you thought would just be happy to attend are the ones who have stepped up to the plate and been so involved!!! It truly is amazing. I have grown some of my friendships 10 fold since getting engaged and it just goes to show who should be in your life and who shouldn't.

I'm sorry she calls you such a great friend and then includes you in nothing :(

And just to confirm it for you - you've certainly done nothing wrong!!!!

Hugs

@calgarybride2015 Thanks so much Kim :)

The funniest part of this all is that I was actually planning to make my best friend (since gradeschool) my MOH, but my current MOH changed my mind by saying that it should be someone who is here and able to help and plan etc etc. She also asked me if she would be my MOH. I know it sounds weird, but after that I almost felt a bit obligated to make her my MOH. I also didn't know anything about weddings since i'm the first of my close friends to get married.. so I figured that was just a thing.. you don't make someone your MOH who can't be there for you.

Funny enough.. my friend who lives in New Zealand that i've known since gradeschool has been so much more supportive from halfway around the world and has really kept my emotions in check through all of this while my MOH is the one giving me high blood pressure.

I kick myself a bit now.. I should've just went with my heart.

I have some amazing friends who aren't in my wedding party, but have stepped up to the plate HUGE when it comes to the wedding. I feel so blessed and it actually makes me emotional to think about. Chester and I are so lucky for the people who are in our lives and do so much for us as friends.. it's those type of friends that put me at ease when i'm dealing with the ones that can't be happy for us.

100% agree - You have every right to get married when, where, how, to whom etc, and if she was your true friend she would be happy for you regardless.

My best friend got engaged 3 weeks after me and is getting married Apr 2nd, I'm getting married April 30th.  There was never any intention of beating each other to it, it just worked out the way it worked out, and yea it's going to be a hard couple of months mentally and financially but we have been friends since we are 6 and are embracing this crazy and awesome time together.  You're friend is super jealous, and real friends should never feel that way.

I think I said it in your thread before, my mom told me that weddings bring out peoples true colours.  The way your friend is acting just shows her immaturity and the true nature of her intentions.  Focus on your two and the people around you who truly care - Ain't no body got time for that!  lol

@deecol Weddings totally do bring out true colours. It's been the hardest thing for me to get over when dealing with the wedding. More so than the money, the planning or any other stress.. the biggest stress for me has been the drama that comes with a wedding and the surprising amount of people in your life that don't end up being who you thought they were.

Love it..'aint nobody got time fo dat!" ahhaha.. so true.

I just can't believe what she said. I would have called her out on it. Maybe even told her that you changed your original date because you didn't want to be so close to hers and "take away her thunder" haha. It would have been interesting how she responded when it's thrown back on her face :P. I'm kind of passive aggressive sometimes haha.

I second @d├ęcor ain't nobody got time for that! You know what I think of your friend who's so far coming off like a selfish biatch! Lol I'm angry for you. Ugh I hate people like that. Well don't let her ruin your day. You are a beautiful person, don't let her ugliness get to you. Kinda reminds me of those old care bear cartoons, you need to unleash the care bear stare and force her evilness away from you lol. Wow, I hope you get that reference

@TinkerSofi I replied to her with a big smile and just said "YEP!" lol, but I like your response better. If she does happen to say anything else i'm totally going to use that.. i'm going to act like I did it out of an act of selflessness haha.

@Wafflesmom I agree with you.. I think she is being exactly what she's coming off as. I'm just trying to breathe and ignore it. I got her wedding invite in the mail yesterday and I had to put it away before I exploded lol. YES! Care bear stare!! hahaha I totally get the reference
