I booked my honeymoon in August in my maiden name as my passport is. Everything else is in my married name but I've asked around and since my trip and passport are in the same name I shouldn't have issues. The only ID you really use is your passport so I doubt they'd ask for my license. That is my married name. I will bring my marriage certificate just in case but again since my trip and passport are the same name it should be ok.
@yycbride2016 what was she thinking was the concern? That it was expiring?

Generally airlines and countries that you enter, in particular the U.S. and Mexico from what I understand, will require you to have a minimum 6 months validity on your passport. If it's less they can refuse to allow you to travel. We've run into that with Doug and booking a trip to Mexico years ago and the TA told us to renew his passport before we left. We were travelling in January and his passport expired in May. We had to scrub what was left on it and get a new one. We now have the new ten year ones plus we now have to worry about our Nexus cards, which are only good for 5 years.
