Good advice! Now that I'm back I realized all the things I said "I'll deal with it later" about are coming back to bite me...it is now "later" and I'm dealing with the disorganization! If it wasn't wedding or work related I let it slide and it was a little overwhelming coming back to reality!

What I found is I was right on top of wedding stuff and kind of let the other stuff get missed. Like vaccinations for the kids lol so if you feel you may miss something think thru stuff not wedding related. Once I realized I had forgotten this (thankfully remembered 2 weeks out) I was in shambles and tears daily thinking id forgotten something major. So that's my recommendation - think outside the wedding box heheheh

Haha... I've checked my passport expiration like 5 times (and also the FI's) to make sure we are okay on that.

@vancouverpetunia I know how you feel. I know my FI is okay on the passport front but mine on the other hand was risky. I didn't want to spend all that money on a new passport without it being in my new name and I didnt want to get legally married so far in advance of our DW. I contacted my TA and she told me it was too risky. She said Mexico probably wouldn't care but the airline would probably refuse me :( I was so thankful that I have a British passport at this moment. She said it would be find to travel with that one! YAY!!! haha. One last thing to worry about :P

I booked my honeymoon in August in my maiden name as my passport is. Everything else is in my married name but I've asked around and since my trip and passport are in the same name I shouldn't have issues. The only ID you really use is your passport so I doubt they'd ask for my license. That is my married name. I will bring my marriage certificate just in case but again since my trip and passport are the same name it should be ok.

@yycbride2016 what was she thinking was the concern? That it was expiring?

@calgarybride2015  The issue is my passport will expire 3 months after our trip so the airline would potentially reject me flying. Mexico would have no problem accepting me but airlines have their own policies. So She told me it wasn't a good idea to risk it and to just use my British passport. Thank goodness I have two!

Ohhh yes that makes total sense. I think it's 6 months right?! Glad you have a solution. We needed to book our honeymoon and I hadn't applied for my new passport yet and didn't want to feel this fear to book in my married and something happen and my name is different or wrong or or or. Another bride on here said she just left her passport as is and then booked her trip in her maiden and has had no issues. Crossing fingers. Glad you have your solution.
