Oh @perianjay

I am so sorry to read about your dress mishaps. Seems like it's hit or miss whenever we order dresses online. I have trouble ordering any type of clothing or shoes online because I am unsure if the sizing is the same or even if it will turn out like how the pictures look.

Don't worry, maybe you will be able to get the refund and then maybe you are meant to find something else.

Hello ladies!

It feels like it's been forever since i've been on here and talking about my planning.

My dining room table that's in my den is now FULL of wedding stuff. It's crazy how much stuff we have now. Now that summer is here and i'm much busier with life than I was in the winter.. it feels like everything is just a blur and going by so quickly. I'm scared that all of a sudden summer is going to be over and i'm going to be a few short months away.

So.. Centrepieces..

Originally I had painted some mason jars a bright mint colour for my centrepieces.. I kept looking at them and thinking that it may be a bit much since i'm having blush table cloths and gold sequins. I still really loved the mint, so I decided to paint a bit of a "grayish" tone on top and then distress them so that the mint peeks through. I'm in love with how they turned out.

We were also going to be using my bridesmaids bouquets for the centrepieces on the table (originally), but I spoke to my resort and they are going to allow me to break up my 20 roses and use them for my centrepieces. It works out well because i'm going to have 3 guest tables + head table. On our head table I plan to use our bridal bouquets as the floral.

I've decided on white roses and i'm going to bring artificial baby's breath to add to the roses. I liked the white because we already have so much colour on the tables that I think it will look best..

Here's the mason jars after I repainted/distressed them..

I tried them with some artificial peonies I had laying around the condo..

I didn't have any roses, but this was my inspiration..

Also, I got my bags from wedding chicks!! For anyone who is hesitating to order them...THEY ARE PERFECT- DO IT! haha

The website said it would take up to four weeks. I got them a week after I ordered them and they had to clear customs here in Canada.. i'd say that's pretty amazing. Overly impressed with them, but for any brides reading this that don't know about the wedding chicks sales.. make sure to wait until they have 40% or 50% off sale. I think they usually have them in the summer and last year I believe they had a 4th of July sale.

We bought mint so that it appealed to both genders.

Lastly, I'm finished my bridesmaid gifts (of course Chester hasn't bothered thinking about his GM gifts yet..typical.. i'm sure i'll be nagging him at the last minute).

My girls will be getting..

Their BM dress (paid for by me)

A kimono robe

A sephora bag full of goodies (I wayyy overspent on these $60 per person) - EOS Lip balm, EOS hand lotion, A Macaron Trinket with Fresh water pearl earrings inside, a Juicy Couture roller ball perfume, Evian mist, Custom hair ties (ordered on Etsy - They say "To have and to hold your hair back"), Bobby Pins, Tide travel packs, Nuetrogena make up removing wipes, Mint chocolates and more that I can't remember right now.

I was thinking of getting my MOH a little something special too, but haven't quite figured out what as of yet.

@kcole123 thank you!! I have reached out to my bank and the company.. seems like it's going to get resolved and i'm so happy about that. One last stress!! Being a bride to be is more than enough stress.

Everything looks great.

The vase turned out well and I think the white roses will look great. Your colors will all come together beautifully!

The bags are gorgeous -- glad you got that sale AND that is super fast shipping. I think I had one package in a week and I was shocked!

You out did yourself on the BM's gifts, they will love them!  You don't need to add something more for your MOH IMO, but I am sure she will appreciate it whatever you decide :)    I purchased the main part of the GM's gifts early on, then it took my husband until the week before we left to get the rest.  He had to move quick because his brother was leaving and I wanted to ensure he had the gift before we left (shaving kit - useful to use on the trip!).   It was rather annoying but all worked out.

@calgarybride2015 thank you! I keep envisioning it all together and I really hope it comes together nicely.

I love the bags! They are perfect.. more than I expected. So happy I chose to hold off and wait for them. There were so many times I almost bought bags elsewhere.

I think you're right about the gifts.. I tend to over think things and I kept thinking to get more. I need to stop myself sometimes.. I do the same thing with everything else related to the wedding haha. Shaving kits are an awesome idea!! Where did you get them?

I over thought the gifts too. I was buying things up until the last minute!    That is me on a normal day though, not just wedding related :) Always worrying!

I got the shaving kits at the Fossil outlet. Do you have one of those? They were regularly $90 on sale for $30 each and they are leather! They had a few different options though.  Their full price store is a bit much for me, but the outlet had great sales!

The men's gifts were much harder -- they already all had sandals, but considered that.  We got them the shaving kit, a travel size package of stuff inside (shaving cream, etc.) and then he got them personalized dog tags.

We have a Fossil outlet? Really??? Where is it??? I'm intrigued..... I'm in Mississauga....

Everything looks so pretty!! I love the jars. They turned out so perfectly and with the flowers, they're gorgeous together!!! (sigh) I wish I had some kind of talent like that. I'm having a hard time tying a nice bow!!!!

Such generous gifts. Wow. I love some of the ideas. Would you mind sharing the "where froms"? What is "EOS"? Sorry - I've said before I've had a sheltered life lol

And don't worry.... December will be here before you know it! But just between us TO ladies, let's enjoy a summer if we get one first! lol This past winter really totally sucked!!!!!!

@acw271011 Yes! We have a fossil outlet at the new outlet in.. milton/oakville??? I think that's where it is lol. It's called premium outlets I believe. I went there a few times last summer and loved it.

Thank you!! I had fun making them and I felt so accomplished after when I saw how they turned out.

EOS is just a brand. It's those little ball looking lip balms, you've probably seen them at Walmart/shoppers etc. I bought the lip balm and the hand creams.

I know what you mean. Everytime I say how close the wedding gets my mom is like "no no! cause that means summer is over" haha

Do you mean the one past Trafalgar on the 401? If that's the one you mean, there's also the brand new one at Glendale Ave in Niagara on the Lake. North side of the QEW called Niagara One. It has some cool stores too, some of which are the same as up on the 401 but I've never seen Fossil.

Are you going to put anything similar to the jars on your Etsy store? It might be of interest....

Those funny little balls are EOS? Cool. I didn't know that. Now you've got my curiosity aroused. I'm going to take a look.

Just curious on the Wedding Chicks bags - what are they made of? I think I looked at them but I'm not totally sure, and I think I wanted something that could be used for wet towels and stuff at the beach. I could be wrong... I've had so much on the go over the last 6 months lol

EOS may have been the first brand that made round Chapstick containers but I could be wrong.
