@TinkerSofi it's kind of funny.. The first time I went I don't think I was looking hard enough. I didn't even think to look for robes when I went. I still ordered the kimono robes though, but I just couldn't pass the bride robe up!

I found some photobooth props when I went, they were about $20 but then I realized I didn't really like them that much so I'll try to make my own :)

You've got a really great thread going! And some  beautiful ideas! I love the mint colour on the mason jars!

@acw271011 Thank you!! I can't lie..i've found some fantastic ideas on here and Pinterest has been my holy grail for wedding decor ideas haha.

      The Dress!

So I realized that I completely forgot to upload the details of my dress to my thread! I actually purchased my dress a month or two after Chester and I got engaged. I hadn't even decided a date yet for the wedding. One of the bridal salons near my parent's house was actually going out of business. They had a lot of beautiful dresses and I had actually sent my coworker there to look for a dress for her wedding. She ended up finding one and told me that I should go check it out.. I decided ..what's the harm?

I went and tried on a number of dresses.. I'm above average height (5'8 or so) and I have very long limbs and a short torso. My two styles of gown were Mermaid and Ball gown, but i've always been pretty set on a mermaid because of my body type. When I tried on the ball gown it wasn't very flattering on my body.

I ended up finding a beautiful Essense of Australia gown except it is a few sizes too small.. (Size 4). I'm a size 8, but have been planning to lose some weight for the wedding to get back to how I was before I packed on some pounds! I figured.. if buying a smaller dress won't give me motivation to get back into shape.. who knows what will?! So far i've lost 2.5 inches around my waist in the past few weeks :)

For obvious reasons (because I bought my dress smaller.. I don't have photos to upload of me in it).

My dress was a STEAL! It's a 2014 design and originally almost $2,000.. I walked away paying $700.

I won't be wearing this belt.. I'll be wearing a different belt that I purchased :)

@krystalball Thank you!! When I saw it I just had that feeling. It's so beautiful and I love how much character it has...especially the back.

Oh my goodness that's gorgeous!! I love the Essense designs. They're so pretty. That style will be great for a DW!

@acw271011 Thank you! I loved this particular designer before going to the salon so I think I lucked out! The Essense/Stella York gowns are beautiful. I fell in love with the fabric covered buttons down the back. I agree that it is suitable for a DW. My first choice was a ball gown by Hayley Paige and it's very couture.. it wouldn't have gone very well with the DW theme.
