In short I'm not expecting gifts, or money but I'm sure some people will any ways. I think that because they are each spending so much, and using up a whole week of valuable vacay time to go to my wedding in a place they had no say in...that their presence is my present :) anything above that is bonus!

Totally agree with this! I've been to two DWs in the past and honestly did not give a gift. It was a lot for me to just go (esp paying single supplement at one and going to the Fairmont in Maui for the other). I don't feel like it was an issue with the brides (we're still good friends, so I hope it wasn't!).

We noted on our wedding web site that we didn't want any gifts. But I do plan to register in case anyone does ask (I'm thinking more of the people who aren't coming to the wedding - I know at least one person has asked my mom). Kinda awkward to ask Chester directly though! I agree with the advice to tell the BM that gifts aren't necessary.

Same with us! We used pretty much the same phrasing that @Wafflesmom used on our website. We don't expect any gifts but know that some will probably give something regardless.

At my cousin's destination wedding they asked for no gifts so me and my other cousins just decided to do something small. We ended getting them a gift card to Black's since we knew they would be printing tons of photos and then I made them something sentimental. There's a website that allows you to upload a photo and then you add in text to create the image. I used the lyrics of their first dance song to create one of their engagement photos and had it framed. They loved it and it was something really cost effective but meaningful.  :)

Just wanted to update you ladies with a quick post from my bachelorette. I know that I have some of you on social media so you may have already seen!

The bachelorette was a big success and it was everything that I could've ever wanted out of my bachelorette. There was a few speed bumps along the way with my ex MOH backing out 1.5 weeks before it, but luckily I have some amazing friends who stepped in and took things into their own hands. They called it "Perian's Bachelorette 2.0" and all I can say is that they really know me.

They Beyonce-fied everything of course - in true Perian fashion haha. The theme of the bachelorette was "drunk in love".

We started out by going to this cute place downtown called 'paint night' where you get to paint a picture with an art teacher going through all of the steps - drinking is involved (OBVIOUSLY! haha)

After that we headed over to my friends condo where there was plenty of wine, mimosas, finger foods and some amazing cupcakes/cookies that she had made (beyonce themed).

There was also a professional make-up artist there waiting for us to do my make-up. I've never wanted to take so many selfies before and I also have never been airbrushed before - it was pretty cool/glamourous. I wish I could bring her with me to Mexico.

Once we left my friend's place we went straight to Cibo wine bar for dinner and it was amazing italian food. Following that we went to..... Remington. I won't say too much about this as it wouldn't be very PG.

We finished the night off by going to Union nightclub and dancing until our feet hurt, which then somehow ended up with a random man massaging mine and my friends feet.

We got back to our room and crashed.

Here are pictures of the night. Unfortunately we had a few ladies missing (two of my bridesmaids included as they both live out of Country at the moment).

@perianjay

That looks like so much fun!! You have some great friends! They know you well!!  So lucky that they were able to salvage your Bachelorette plans after Missy left and they definitely made it 2.0! I've always wanted to do that painting thing but I can never get anyone to go! And where's the picture of your end product?  OMG...Remington...the stories never to be told...we went to something similar for my friends Bachelorette in Vegas...My face hurt for days from all the laughing. You all look like you had so much fun! The Make up looks great!!! I'm so glad you had so much fun!

@Meandhim Thanks girl!!! They have a few of those paint louges downtown and I think one is even called Paint lounge actually lol. They are a LOT of fun and it's cool to go with friends and see how your friends interpret it. I'm a bit of an art geek so it was actually one of the things that I requested we do. All of my friends had a ton of fun doing it and it was a really good way to start off the night.. It started so tame and PG and went from there. I actually can't even count how many people stopped us on the streets and told us they were our stripper for the night. Is that weird? hahaha

We were all laughing too and I kept thinking omg I wonder if i'm offending them hahaha

Looks like so much fun!!! Glad you had a great time :) A lot of care was put into it, and that's fantastic.

You are lucky! I had to wear a tutu and all these boa's that I am STILL today picking feathers out of my clothes :)

Your bachelorette sounds and looks like it was so much fun and the makeup looks great!!

I'm in love with all of it, especially the "Feyonce" cupcakes, lol. Your friend is super talented! You definitely have some amazing girls in your life for them to have pulled off such a great day just for you  :D

As an aside, I've always wanted to do the paint night too - no pictures of the final product? @Meandhim If you every want to go just give me a shout and I'll be there!

@krystalball I know aren't the Feyonce cupcakes adorable?! I just loved them. I didn't want to eat them - they were way to pretty.

I do have a finished product but I don't think I got a picture. I will take a pic and post it though :)
