I wrote "thank you for the generous gift."  I read some etiquette things that suggest saying what you're going to spend the money on but that just sounded awkward to me

 

I already sent out thank you cards after getting any gift for engagement parties, shower, etc. so I just had the wedding ones to give out last month.  The wedding picture Shutterfly ones just went to the people that came to the wedding in Mexico.  Other people I sent more generic thank you cards I picked up at Homesense, Target, etc.

I also agree that it kind of seems awkward, but I wasn't sure what was proper or not.

 

I agree that only the ones of wedding pictures should be for the people who attend.  I have some generic cards from Michaels I can use for the rest.  I never even thought to send out thank yous after I got those gifts before, doh! haha! better late than never I guess :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
