That is quite North.  My fiance was born in Terrace, but grew up in Salmon Arm.  I was raised in Tsawwassen, now living almost downtown Vancouver.

Woohoo @@cometgirl I knew I couldn't be the only one! Your wedding is in 3 months and a couple of weeks. How's the planning going?

And we'll count you as a BC bride Kim! Any province would be lucky to have you as one of the their own ;)

It is coming quickly and things are going well. Time FLIES by!  This website can be addicting. I had to take a break from it as I felt I was trying to do too much. Most of the resort stuff is done and ready (except welcome bags) and we are just planning the party at home now!

We got engaged a year ago and I told myself that we have to try and do things all the way along as I wanted to spread out costs. Well needless to say, time flies by, so never feel like you are planning too much in advance as things will always come up closer to the date.

Ohhhh how old is he? Wouldn't that be funny if I knew him. I'm sure I don't lol

I've lost my desire to workout and eat healthy - you know wedding planning excuses. But fiancé told me last night I used to be so active and moving around and now all I do is sit on that website. Haha true but it hurt. Gotta get my crap together and get back to the gym.

Edit - I mean my husband haha

@@cometgirl You still have a little over 3 months, you can do it. Yes, I agree that this site is addicting but I say it's research to save money. My fiance doesn't mind when I say it like that LOL We're spreading out costs too but you're right, time flies by too quickly!

@@calgarybride2015 You deserve some time off! You worked your butt off prepping for the wedding so a little down time doesn't hurt. Plus, I'm sure everyone agrees with me that we love having you here to share your knowledge :)

I've seen posts for Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Toronto brides but nothing for Vancouver or any other BC city. I just wanted to say hi to my fellow Local brides and see if we can share some tips on wedding gown shopping, travel agents, local deals and anything else wedding related.

I've met tons of lovely fellow Canadian brides, any local ones out there?

Hi!

I'm not a BC bride persay, we live in Toronto now...but my fiancé is from Burnaby/Coquitlam/Vancouver, BC and his entire family and friends are still there. In terms of wedding stressers, we are likely in the same boat. The hardest thing has been finding good rates for our BC guests (likely 30-40). The prices come in okay for Toronto but seem crazy for BC.

We are planning a 2016 wedding in Mexixo. Currently looking exclusively at Azul Fives.

I can't help with a local TA or dress shops but I can shed some light on pricing we've received.

Good luck!

Thanks for the message @@ashhtayy, congrats on your engagement! We locked in on a package with Air Transat and I'm glad I did! The prices have gone up, if I thought they were expensive before, they've gone up even more!

How's the wedding planning coming along? I'm also a 2016 bride

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
