Best Destination Wedding In Costa Rica

I just had my destination wedding at a vacation villa in Tamarindo, CR last week. I planned the whole thing myself via email and I was so impressed with all of our vendors. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. I did a whole lot of Googling to find these vendors, so I thought I would help out some future brides, by listing all of these wonderful vendors here in one place. I know I could have really used a post like this when I was planning.

Officiant: Einar Villavicencio- Professional, punctual and experienced. He's an attorney who preforms both symbolic and legal ceremonies for tourists

Photographer: Sylvia Guardia M.- Her work is beautiful. She's professional, punctual and she made a lot of great suggestions.

Flowers and Decor: Four Winds Weddings- I just used them for flowers and rental candles for the dinner table, but they offer full wedding planning services as well as decor and furniture rental. Kirsten's flower arrangements were gorgeous. They were punctual and professional.

Hair and Makeup: Maravilla Weddings- Professional, punctual and experienced. They even came out to our villa, so I didn't have to travel anywhere.

Catering: Catering Costa- Professional and punctual. We hired private chef, Jean Luc to come out to our villa. With the help of an assisant, he set up tables, chairs, cooked and served a 4 course meal and cleaned up. They also provided us with dishes, glassware, tablecloths, etc. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Best wedding meal I have ever had!

Cake: Victoria Zoch- Victoria is a true artist. Her cakes are beautiful. She makes amazing sugar flowers at a very reasonable price.

Band: Los Mojitos- Professional and punctualThey are a Latin jazz band, but they're able to play various types of popular music. They even learned a new song at my request.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
