How Many Days Before Are You Arriving?

Recommended Posts

I'm curious to hear when other couples are arriving to their wedding locations prior to a symbolic (non-legal) ceremony.

We are having a Saturday wedding and have been planning on arriving Wednesday.  I have been under the impression that we'd meet with the WC on Thursday morning.  Most of our guests are arriving on Thursday and now I'm contemplating if we should arrive on Tuesday for an extra day of planning time, scoping out the resort, and possibly meeting with the WC a day or two earlier.

I'd love to hear your plans.  Thanks!

Our wedding is Friday. We're arriving Monday. Most of our guests are arriving before us. We're only getting there so early b/c everyone else is, and we want to spend time with them. I don't think you need to add another day to your trip (unless you want to of course). I've heard that the WC meetings/final planning is quick and easy.

We just booked our flights this morning! Wedding is on Thursday and we are actually arriving on Sunday, but not checking into the resort until Monday. We are staying with family on Sunday night. I assume we'll do the wedding coordinator meeting on Tuesday morning.

Our guests' arrival is all across the board! Some are also coming on Sunday, some are coming each day after.

Our wedding is on Friday and we arrive Sunday pm. The resort has a three day prior to wedding rule, so we apparently had to be there by Monday. The previous times I have flown my ears take a while to pop so we decided to arrive late Sunday night so we can just go to bed and not worry about my ears. The later time flight was also cheaper :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
