Help! Looking For A Good/affordable Photographer In Cancun Area

Recommended Posts

Hola Everybody,

Hoping somebody can help me out, i'm looking for a good photographer who offers good quality and price. I'm getting married at Paradisus Esmeralda in Playa del Carmen on May 9th 2015. I'm want to choose my photographer now so I'm not stressing down the road. I'm extremely indecisive so if anyone has any suggestions for me that would be great!

Thank you so much!

Have you checked out Bicoastal Images? I like their work a lot!

Choosing a wedding photographer is pretty subjective. You have to look at their portfolios, and choose based on the style/work you like. We have quite a few RM photo on the board too. In addition to Bicoastal (Jen), there's Mexican Wedding Videos (Mike), Ivan Luckie, Moments that Matter ), Del Sol and I'm sure I've forgotten a few - there are quite a few here along with excellent examples of their work.

I would definitely recommend finding one now. They tend to book up weekends pretty quickly.

There's an article I posted recently with the top 20 - check out their portfolios and start asking for quotes and if they are available your date. Also use the search function on this forum to read similar threads, there are lots of good suggestions!

The ladies have it totally right. There are some wonderful photographers in Mexico and a variety of prices. You need to get in touch with them and ask them for price quotes and review their websites to see if their style works for you. The vendor review section will give you some opinions of past brides that will give you an idea of who is out there.

Good luck!

There are so many great photographers in Mexico, I was quite impressed. Check out Samuel Luna, we fell in love with his style and he's very quick to reply to my email messages. And on to of being very helpful, he has great rates.

I should caution you to check with your resort regarding outside vendor fees. This can range from $400 to $1000! If you're watching your budget, make sure you factor this in.

It all depends on what you conside to be affordable. Octavio Montes is affordable, he has great rates. A friend of mine used him, her pictures are on his website, she's the couple with the pictures on the boat. However, I fell in love with the styles of Ivan Luckie, bicoastal images, and Samuel luna. They all offer really great packages and have amazing response time. My wedding is in June 2016, I'm trying to get all the wedding stuff out the way so I can focus on family and life and hopefully find a new job in college administration. We narrowed our choices down to bicoastal and ivan luckie. They all have similar styles, but ivan caught alot of emotion in his photos so we hired him. His prices are very reasonable, he offered more hours of photos than Samuel luna at a lesser rate two hours less than bicoastal for a way lesser rate. So we went with him. Samuel AND Ivan Are On The TOP 20 List For Cancun Photographers.

I would recommend Karisma Photography a friend of mine used them and their pictures were amazing! We tried used them too, but they were booked. They have reasonable prices and they are really good. If you're going to cut back in any area of your wedding expenses, I'd suggest that it not be on the photographer...you'll have the pictures for the rest of your life. Check their work at www.karismaphoto.com.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
