Hi everyone. First time posting here.. Just wondering if anyone has had fireworks for the reception? Or know of how to get them?

-A little background on myself.. I am having a destination wedding in june of 2016. The hotel is still not certain but I am leaning towards the Grand Velas in Riviera Maya. I am going in a few weeks to check out a few places. Ahh so excited, can't wait for it to actually be here!

Congrats and welcome! The Riviera Maya is a beautiful place to get married and you've come to the right place for tips and ideas.

I know there are brides that have had fireworks but I think the price point varies - whether they're arranged by a resort, or an outside decor company and I seem to remember a couple of times that it was mentioned that some resorts had banned them due to the fire hazard. Definitely check with the resorts when you're doing your tours and ask them. You don't want to be in the middle of your planning and find out you can't have them.

Good luck and happy planning!

Hello AdreaBru,

Welcome to the forum, We are wedding planners in the Riviera Maya, to answer your question we have very few professional vendors that offer fireworks, I know Grand Velas will have their preferred vendor. you are going to love the hotel, and their service is just out of this world.

Feel free to reach out and we will be happy to help.

Happy site visit!

My WC offered a fireworks display... starting at $2,700 for 1 minute of "medium intensity" fireworks... there were 5-6 other more expensive options also. The company is called Promedsa.

We had fireworks at our wedding in Now Jade. We loved them and so did our guests. I thought it brought something special and different.

We used www.pirotecniacancun.mx. Maritza was very quick to answer any questions and any emails I sent.  We did package 4 that included 8 multicolored shell bombs(big size) and 12 color comets. As well as 4 sparklers. OUr DJ ended up bringing sparlers so they just added more fireworks at the last minute. We paid $1400. Hope this info helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
