Where To Start? Half The Guests Are From Canada, Half Are From The Uk

Hi! Congrats! Unfortunately I don't have any advice. My fiancé is canadian (from Windsor!) and I am english. We have guests from both the UK and Canada coming to our wedding too.

We're getting married in Florida, so aren't using a TA. I've found that just researching options available for both places works. Eg where are the guests able to find the resort to book it. Also keeping them informed is awesome too!

@@Majix26 It's a tricky one!

We actually found a travel agent in the UK through my fiance's contacts that can book everyone (both from the UK & Canada) all in one group . . . I know it sounds too good to be true so I'll keep you posted.  And please let me know if you figure out any tips or tricks along the way.

Happy Planning!

Hi Would you be willing to pass on the details? I think we may be in the same boat so it might prove useful for me as well. Thanks!

@@acw271011 Hi! From what I know, right now my fiance's contact is going to quote us but he won't have firm prices until 11  months before the wedding (so June 2015, since we want to get married in May 2016).

More than happy to share any info I can get - are you okay to wait that long for pricing?  When are you planning the big day for?  (I also want to make sure it's not too good to be true!)

Thanks. Our plan is to renew our vows in October so 9 months away. I thought we had our resort finalized but there is a hiccup now that I'm not sure how we'll get round it. We won't have a group rate since there won't be enough of us. Unless of course there is a way to have the same agent book everyone. On both sides of the pond!

Hi @@acw271011

Sorry it's been so long, we've been working away to figure out these travel arrangements.

I don't think my fiance's connection will be able to do the bookings for both although it would be much easier.  We'll still touch base with him in a couple months to see if he can help, but it just doesn't sounds right. Right now. we are working with agents on each side, and since we're not picky with dates, we're finding out the best aka cheapest time for both sides to fly.

Hope things have worked out for you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
