We agreed to spend 100$ a person for our bridal party's so the watches were a great find at The Bay!! So far I've bought my girls their own beach bags with bathing suit covers aloe Vera gel and floppy hats for beach pictures, as well as 50$ to each girls dress just gotta find something small for about 15-17$ to finish their gifts off @@kcole123

We also bought my uncle a watch (he's the one walking me down the aisle) since he only has the one with a Velcro band just gotta figure out my mom and my FI's parents! @@pddcmc

I love this idea and those are really cute! I might have to steal this one :)

After two hours of roaming the isles of Michaels (these is after the dollar store) I finally found something I could use as name place holders. I get so frustrated in craft stores because I ain't that crafty.
But these are perfect because there isn't much creativity needed. Just write the names on the flags and place on the straw.
I am hoping the boat people can place them maybe in a glass of water or something before we board and if they can't place them then I will get my maid of honour to do it real quick. I have the table seatings done up on paper. It's just a matter of following that.

Got my dress today too. It's home now hanging up on the back door in the spare room. Now to hold from going to try it on everytime Nathan leaves the house haha

I went to my Brother-in-laws and got my dress too, just to make sure I still like it....had it on just a few times :) lol

@kcole123

Are you at all concerned about things getting "lost" (esp all of your gifts, OOT items, etc) between your departure and arrival?

I know there is not point in worrying because it won't affect anything, but it's hard to keep this nagging thought out of my head!

This was the big reason why we didn't want any connecting flights!  Less chance.

We had ours tagged as ;'priority' as we got first class, but really did that help?  everyone's baggage made it.

Just remind yourself once you get there you have a couple days grace just in case, but you will BE OK!!!!!  Don't stress yourself about these things you can't control.  Just make sure all the MUST haves (like shoes, jewelry, outfits (dress, suit, etc.) go on the plane with you.

I asked myself 'what would be most upsetting if it didn't make it?'  really just what we had to wear, the ring bearer shell, flower girl pail, and (possibly laughable) the maracas, so those all came on board with us.   The wedding will still go on without your OOT items, frames, etc.

Oh I have thought about this and worried and still do. But like @@calgarybride2015 it's no point in worrying about things out of our control.

I am also flying direct so it lessons the chance. Hopefully.

I had bride and groom luggage tags but I have thought about maybe not even using them. Just because it's a red flag saying "hey look I have goods because we are the bride and groom."

We are going direct, as well, so I agree about the chance being lessened.

Also, I had the same debate about the tags and have opted to not use them for that very reason. I may attach my Bride tag to the garment bag in hopes that people will be extra nice to us in the airport ....and when it is carried on to the place (LOL)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
