@@rachelia160 that's a great list girl! i need to get moving on some of these things youve already finished lol

you could also add buying bridesmaid gifts, figuring out your jewelry and undergarments

I think you all are on track. I found nothing of mine really started coming together until near the end when I had to make sure it was all taken care of - then things didn't go or seemed incomplete or or or .... and then I started finalizing it all. Also remember the decor doesn't make the wedding!! Remember the beauty of where you are and realistically that you also have to get it there :) trust me I'm packing right now and it's not easy. Less is better, trust me :) it will come together from a piece here and a piece there to a finished product.

6 months out? Relax for a minute before things start getting crazy =)

you seem to have everything together already! at 6 months I was making spreadsheets and lists upon lists... which led to more lists... and more to-dos, lol.... You look to be right on track, it all comes together nicely as the date gets closer, trust us =)

I'm 6 months out too and you make me feel like I have nothing done! Our deadline for booking is April 1st so I know alot will be last minute. I'm waiting on the stamps for invites to come in so they can go out and going to buy material for the BM dresses tomorrow (someone is making them). We have about 25 people that have booked their flights already. As far as decorations go, it's already beautiful enough, less is more!

I am the QUEEN of the spreadsheet! I needs lists to keep track of my lists!  That's probably the main thing I'm accomplishing at this point.

Custom BM dresses--that's amazing!  And I love when people tell me that "Less is more" with decorations....I have a hard time letting go of those Pinterest-perfect weddings you see pictures of all the time, but I need to tell myself that those people spend a TON of money on weddings like that and it's just not realistic.

You seem so organized, it's hard to picture you doing anything last minute!! I just read on your thread that you leave tomorrow--I don't know you and I'm super excited for you!  I can't WAIT to hear how your wedding goes and all the advice I'm sure you'll have to offer all of your loyal followers :) haha!

Don't sweat the small details. In the whole grand scheme of things they don't matter. I wish I had never stressed about frames, vases and signs for the bar, etc. No one (including myself) noticed they were there. The beauty of your location is all you need :)

Oh really? That makes me feel better because I really don't have anything like that planned and I was starting to wonder if I should. But if you and your guest didn't notice them then my guest won't either :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
