Grand Coral Beach Brides Or Off Site Venue Brides 2015

Recommended Posts

Hello Future Brides,

So I have been looking at other posts regarding Grand Coral or other off site venues but I haven't seen anything newly updated. I recently changed my venue in the beginning of this year. Right now I am in the process of securing my venue. Would love to hear any brides that are doing an off site venue or past brides that have dealt with Grand Coral. Would really appreciate the feedback.

Many thanks,

Bev

That's a venue I've had a tough time getting info about too. There isn't a lot on the internet to dig through. Just curious why you changed your venue? Where were you before? There is also Blue Venado that seems to be popular with some of the brides here. Not sure if you looked at that site yet.

Hey @@acw271011. I have been trying to research information myself but they only way I can think of getting information is talking to other brides from the videos or photos I've seen that have been taken at Grand Coral.I find it would be a hassle to get into contact with them. Well when I originally started looking for our venue (beginning of 2014) we said we'll just stick to a resort wedding. Then after researching some more I found that more brides were doing off site venues. I found Grand Coral and I instantly fell in love with the venue! However I was not impressed with the hefty price tag  <_< so I decided that I would just stick with my resort.

I'm staying at Dreams Riviera Cancun in Puerto Morales btw. The coordinators were very kind in sending me packages when I asked. But they said they wouldn't start planning my wedding until 3 months before my wedding. There were a lot unanswered questions, communication was slow and just a lot of stuff and information thrown all at once but I never got to get the full picture. Basically I felt lost! I did take into consideration that the resort was planning multiple weddings. Can't blame them. So I came to this website and read a couple of reviews, listened to other brides planning, etc. I did start some of the other planning in the meantime but I honestly felt like it was a waiting game while I tried to figure out what was the next step. A lot of the brides were telling me of some obstacles they had to face such as vendor fees, overpriced florals, limited amount of time for reception basically nickel-and-diming everything. Like every resorts mantra is..."You can have the wedding of your dreams, but your going to have to pay an arm and a leg for it!"

After all that I decided just to look into to other possible venues. No other venue could compare to how I felt with GCB plus it was the closest venue to our resort. Anyways luckily GCB was having a promotion and I jumped on the chance! (FYI: Their promotion is any weddings held from Monday - Thursday the rental fee of the property is $800 USD instead of their usual $2000 USD fee along with a food promo package as well.) So yeah right now I'm just looking for feedback from past brides or anyone that is currently planning their off-site wedding.

Let me know where you are in your planning I am more than happy to help as well!

@@dreamweddings Hello Joyce! Yes I definitely agree it would be a smoother transition for all brides. Hopefully other brides will be able to see this and start posting.

I was going to have my wedding there and decided against it for multiple reasons. Yes it is pretty but seriously there are so many beach clubs to choose from which makes this area so nice!

From my experience finding a venue that has an WC included is a cost effective way to save money as long as your comfortable hiring your vendors.

And to my surprise a lot of beach clubs do have wedding coordinators that come free!

I have been working with a fabulous WC from my venue for about 6 months.

I have lots of info on vendors too!

Even though GCBC was not for me, I hope I can help anyone who is interested! I have the email and phone numbers for the chef as well as the manager.

Word of a serious advice- if you are even considering having your wedding there you will need a wedding coordinator, and one with experience working with GCBC trust me on that one :)

If anyone has any questions please ask, I've talked to many of the beach clubs and have lots of info!

And I wish there were more brides to post about their off resort wedding venue too :)

Hey @@delrosa4,

I have sooo many questions! Who was your wedding coordinator? Who were your all your vendors? Did you like them, would you recommend them? How was the food? What food did you eat? How did you ceremony go? Any Pros or Cons of GCB? How was your setup for example your dancefloor and tables? Did you have a sweetheart table or did you dine with your guest? Do you have any pictures that you would like to share? When did you get married? How many guests were there? If you had to do it all over again, what would keep, what could you do without, what would you have changed? Sorry I just have so many questions! Really looking forward from hearing from you! :)

Thanks,

Beverle

Hi I'm planning to have my wedding at Grand coral. I can't find a Co tact number. Do you happen to have it. I'm wondering g the cost. I contacted a wedding g cording tor and she's charging me 2000 just for her fees. She says that the venue is 2500 + 110 pretty person. I want to contact the place directly to see if I can save some $$$. I was also thinking blue venado, it's cheaper but it's also more rustic.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
