@@lizzjameson Whoa thanks for the tip - they didn't give me deadlines for anything!! LOL I will get working on my selections this week then!

If you find a map, can you please let me know?? I would love to include it in our welcome bags as well.

Did they send you a seating chart template to fill out with the layout of your reception? Or do we have to draw this up for them?

I can't wait to see pictures of all of your weddings!!!!! <3

@@SusanMarie813 The resort photographer is telling us that we can ONLY use the included package for the wedding day :(

As for seating - so you had no say on making sure your family sat closer to you guys?

@@Maurindy2016 Since my wedding is on the larger side, we are just going to book a Mayan Fire Show the day before the wedding and give a welcome toast to our guests.

@@lizzjameson No I did not but great suggestions - will ask her now! Hmm I don't know what other options we have if they are already offering that show...something that would accommodate 90+ guests....

Yanin also just told me that the resort changed their schedule and is having a Bollywood Party on Thursdays and a White Party on Mondays - FYI. Back when we visited them in September, we were told that they alternate between a White Party or Pirate Party every Thursday.

I've heard they are strict with Men's dress code at the resort restaurants and my older relatives are wondering what they should wear. Does anyone know what Men should wear? Are sneakers? Jeans? Polos allowed?

@@mexiwedding I did family at table 1&2 so they put that next to us. The space was small enough that it didn't matter to us. Everyone coming was as important as family. I'm sure you can draft up seating chart like create your table then the table numbers you want next to you. I had 8 tables 4 on each side.

That really stinks about the photographer. We didn't have to do that.

The men no shorts and no sandals. And they will turn people away it happened to us. No open sandals for men at the restaurants.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
